  Hotel is within walking/biking distance of so many amazing places. It has a trolley stop right out front. There are Lyft bikes and lime scooters readily available. That isn't even mentioning the building, which is old, and old buildings have character. I LOVE the character: old time-y elevator, fire escapes, actual KEYS (both to your room and to the building) The employees were friendly but not over-bearing. The room was clean. Some caveats; If you don't like being in the middle of a city, it probably isn't for you. Yes, the street traffic is loud. Yes there are homeless people who are addicts in the area. Yes, there a decent amount of litter on the side walks. I will definitely be coming back. The only downside that I wished was changed - there isn't a mini-fridge in the room.

  Excellent location and great value. The rooms are updated, a little worn in the bathroom but clean. There is an attendant at the front desk which adds to the safety and hospitality. Overall a classic boutique, in-town hotel. We'll definitely come back.

  El hotel tiene muy buena relación calidad/precio. La habitación es pequeña pero todo muy limpio, el baño con regadera y agua caliente. La televisión y el internet funcionaron bien. Hay agua, café y té disponibles en el lobby todo el tiempo. El lugar es céntrico y hay estación de autobuses casi frente al hotel. Sin duda, me volvería a quedar aquí.

  This hotel was in a very convenient location for exploring all of San Francisco! Most of the city was accessible by walking or public transportation, and the Muni buses had stops for multiple different lines right outside the hotel entrance. The hotel is a few blocks from the main city centers, so the traffic noise was never overwhelming. The area seemed lively and safe during the day, but maybe not as much past dark. There was an exterior lock to the lobby, and that additional safety measure was greatly appreciated! The room itself was very small, but clean. No closet, but there was a full mirror and some drawer space. The bathroom had all the necessities and trash was emptied every day, with full room cleaning every other day. We were allowed to store our luggage in their closet on the day of checkout, and since our flight wasn’t until late evening, we could enjoy the city without paying for separate luggage storage. Overall, this hotel was in a convenient location, offered clean rooms, and the price was very affordable.

  This location and the price are impossible to beat. I've stayed in SF Soma/Market st area every trip for the last 5 years. Hands own the best service for what you're paying for. Elevator on site. Frequent quality room servicing. Not many over hotels (and in my experience, none) offer nearly as a well-maintained stay for such a value. To be able to hop on the trolley right from the front door was impeccable. Additionally the lobby coffee bar was a stellar touch. If you want to travel and experience the city right from the heart of it, this is your hotel.
