I had a great experience with The Bristol Hotel, especially thanks to the General Manager, Charles. I initially ran into a frustrating situation with a reservation and refund through Expedia, but Charles completely turned the experience around.
He was incredibly understanding, professional, patient, and willing to step in to help get everything resolved. I truly appreciated how seriously he took my concerns and the level of customer service he provided throughout the process.
What started as a stressful situation ended on a very positive note because of Charles. His kindness and willingness to help did not go unnoticed. Thank you again for the exceptional service and for making sure I was taken care of!

I had such a great experience at The Bristol Hotel in San Diego! The environment was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I also loved the little store in the lobby. It was so convenient because I had forgotten to bring a couple of water bottles, and they had bottled water available for purchase. The location felt very safe and clean as well. Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend The Bristol! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The room was exceptionally clean, neat, and beautifully maintained, with a gorgeous view of the city. It felt incredibly comfortable and spacious, making our stay feel relaxing from the moment we arrived. The receptionist, housekeeping staff, and valet team were all warm, attentive, and extremely helpful. The location was also perfect—conveniently close to some great restaurants and food spots. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Avoid wasting your time and money on this hotel. It's not worth it.
1. They oversell rooms and charge you for parking.
2. They cancel your reservation without notice, only until you arrive do you experience this. This also happened to others, like myself waiting in the lobby to figure out what to do next.
3. Construction is everywhere
4. Very dirty
5. Not customer - friendly and no manager available no apology.

I was pretty happy with the Bristol while staying during SDCC! I had reserved a king bed room and had hoped they had rollaways but they do not. I had requested a room with a pullout couch and when I arrived they said they had run out of those rooms, which while disappointing was understandable. So with the 3 of us I had to use my air mattress, but the room had plenty of space for it. The pillows were very comfortable, the king bed was large, the room was clean and had a great view. When I requested some extra blankets I was told housekeeping had left for the day but the man at the front desk personally brought me up a blanket which I really appreciated!! Probably the thing I disliked the most about the room was the shower, the shower head felt like you were being spit on by gnomes vs an actual shower. It was just outrageously weak water pressure. But during the very hot and busy week I can say the air conditioning in our room always worked great! Kept the room nice and cold. WiFi was weak but we didn’t spend much time using it. And the walk to the convention center was not bad at all, maybe 10-15 mins depending on how fast I was walking. I also really liked their coffee machine in the lobby because it made tasty lattes. So while everything wasn’t perfect I felt like everyone we interacted with was very kind and doing their best, I felt comfortable and safe, and overall I enjoyed my stay here.
