  My son and I stayed here for two days beginning July 15th. We came to San Diego to visit friends. This place was perfect for us. There were other families there so he had someone to play with in the pool. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice one time for dinner and on our last morning we had breakfast at the pool. The staff was very helpful and the service was fantastic.

  This hotel has been here a while, but still a very nice facility with friendly staff. I stay here often.

  I booked a Bay View King room specifically because of the advertised bay view. The listing shows rooms with a clear view of the bay, but my room’s view was largely blocked by a large palm tree. While the bay was technically visible through the leaves, the actual view was significantly different from the photos used to advertise the room. If having a bay view is important to you, I recommend asking the hotel to confirm the exact room location before arrival.

  Stayed here for a quick trip to San Diego with my wife. First, when I walked up to the lobby the man behind the counter seemed irritated, but no big deal. He asks if I plan to park there (mind you there’s nowhere else to park) I say yes and then ask for ID and Credit, which is expected, I then ask “Oh wait do you need the card I paid for the room with?” Before answering he taps the card and says no, that’s for parking and incase something happens to the room. After asking how much parking is he tells me $24 a night. Which is an insane price, but he says valet is free. So, we go to the room which is clean but smells like mold and stale cigarettes. When we go to leave for dinner, there’s no one at the valet stand for 10-15 minutes (which is understandable) but they the key to the lock box sitting ON TOP of it. This place is pretty dingy and expensive, I would not recommend it to anyone.

  Been coming here for years and have never had a complaint until now. This place is everything and more for the value. Nothing fancy but clean and great amenities. Chris, a server at the restaurant, is outstanding. Love him and would take him home with me if I could. John, the bartender is completely rude and has no clue how to work in the customer service industry. I genuinely have very reasonable expectations as someone who is completely respectful of those in the service industry and how hard of a job they have. My husband has worked in management for many luxury hotels throughout Santa Barbara. John completely misses the mark. Compliments to the chef as you would never expect the level of cuisine coming out of their kitchen but the dishes are amazing. Can’t wait to return and to see Chris again!
