  Very nice, very clean, simple motel on the beach. Front office was very friendly and helpful, and they had lots of things you can borrow, like beach, chairs, boogie, boards, towels, et cetera. Be careful of the platform beds, though.I whacked my shin about a dozen times. Lol.

  OMGGG what a blast! My flight arrived before the actual check in time of 4pm. I was able to check in early at 1pm for a $60/$70 fee. The room I got was one king bed with a partial ocean view. The view was able to be seen on the balcony that lead to my room. Not viewable from windows which I didn’t mind. I didn’t request parking because I didn’t bring my car with me. If you do bring one, I highly recommend getting that accommodation. Parking was hard to look for whenever my friend came to see me. They also allowed guest without extra fees, as long as you let them know who is coming. As for the location overall; literally the best. Walking distance for stores, restaurants, the beach, literally anything you need. There’s also beach towels, mats, chairs, sunglasses and etc in the lobby that is first come first serve. So thankful for that because I didn’t bring any beach items so I definitely used that to my advantage. Staff is extremely helpful and kind. Including the cleaning staff, they were quick and reliable. The room has a bleachy smell. It’s pretty constant whenever you come into the room. Luckily you can adjust the ac. This is not like your typical hotel with 24 hr lobby, special room service, hallways, elevator etc. This was honestly perfect operations especially since it’s located right by the beach. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I will definitely book with Pacific View Inn again whenever I’m back in San Diego!

  The location is great, steps away from the beach and plenty of restaurants and sites are an easy walk. The staff are really awesome and friendly. Beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards available and free for guests. The inn is small and simple. I booked a week before my trip so I had limited choice for room but still lucky to book in the area last minute mid July for 3 nights. The room really small corner room just big enough for 2 full size beds but it is only for sleeping, spent the entire trip out enjoy the sun. Parking is limited they only have 4 reserved parking spaces. There is public parking around the area but very busy, be very lucky to find one during the day even staff have to park 3-4 blocks away. I was lucky. Tip: can move closer later at night or very early morning. Overall really great place. One of the tiny windows facing the parking lot did not close all the way, like is was suppose to be kept open which wasn't a problem until someone decided to smoke marijuana dircect under it. We had to use a couple of towels to block the window. We had no issues with noise until our last night, Wednesday night. Guests next door was yelling, screaming and banged on walls between 1AM-2AM, we were in bed by 11PM to be ready for our flight in the morning. I would be very surprised if they weren't causing property damage. I did mention it to the staff when we checked out in the morning. Another thing I suggest the inn would do is invest in installing extended wand shower head. There was sand still in the far end of the shower from previous guests and there was no convent way to spray the shower to push anything towards the drain in the center. The shower being very long, the length of the entire wall.

  I recently stayed at this hotel and wanted to share a heads-up regarding the parking situation, which potential guests should be aware of. The hotel offers only five paid parking spots, which must be reserved directly through the hotel in advance. Street parking is extremely difficult to navigate due to specific cleaning restrictions (Monday and Friday, 2:00 AM – 6:00 AM). The nearby public parking is quite expensive—nearly $60 for a five-hour window—and because it is billed in five-hour increments, it is not a practical solution for overnight stays. I highly recommend calling the hotel to secure a spot well before your arrival to avoid significant inconvenience. In my photo red is Monday side cleaning and blue is Friday.
