WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, the hotel staff have no clue what they are doing. Absolutely incompetent employees, this hotel should not even have a star! They do not reply to emails, they do not answer the phone nor follow the IHG group policies. When calls have been answered they tell you to call in another hour or the next day because they have no idea how to look for what was asked and try to delegate to someone else. First time ever that had to call twice the IHG center Line directly to handle my issues as again they had absolutely no idea. Been charged for a late cancellation although having cancelled within the permitted free of charge timing. Have been told different false policies regarding rates and benefits as a Platinum Ambassador and employee of the group. Starting from the General Manager that was contacted to solve the issues by the IHG center line telling them to pass the call through to me only to find out that the call was then answered by a front office agent stating that the GM had to leave. Irresponsible, unreachable, rude and unprofessional.

I stay here about 3-5 times per year. This hotel is close to freeway and has restaurants along Mira Mesa. Location works for me since it's also about 15-20 min from airport.
As for the hotel, people who work here are generally nice and they seem to recognize me every time I stay here.
The rooms are generally clean and do not have a bad odor with AC and bathroom.
Only thing that is less than average is their breakfast in the mornings but I guess it is free. I will just have a bagel and cereal nowadays. Or sometimes even get something at McDs close by. 24 hour coffee machine is nice to have on the first floor but it seems like they got rid of Keurig in the rooms since I didn't see one in my room this time.
This hotel does charge $10 per night for parking.

We just needed a place to sleep that was fairly close to UCSD. This place is pretty standard as far as Holiday Inns go - decent included breakfast, if not a bit crowded in the morning. Fairly new hotel, clean and modern, located in Sorrento Valley (which is the tech hub of San Diego so situated in the middle of a bunch of large tech/biotech companies). There’s a Starbucks right next to the hotel which is great.
My only gripe is the sofa bed mattresses are pretty crappy. Super thin with very evident springs. Also my daughters were out in the hallway talking when the fire alarm went off in the evening. Apparently some bozo was smoking in their room and set off the fire alarm. What did the front desk guy do? He harassed my daughters and kept querying them if they were smoking. They clearly were not and did not smell like smoke either.
Aside from that, it was a decent stay for a reasonable price on 4th of July weekend.

The inconsistency in breakfast in this corporation is crazy. Ice machine was down, pancake machine is down. No hard boiled eggs, some nasty egg nugget thing. Me and the kids picked this hotel as part of our vacation because they like the breakfast but we were extremely dissatisfied. For a business that prides them selves on advertising breakfast, they extremely under delivered. Rooms are okay; but the pull out couch was broken. They didn’t tell me, they just left an old roll in bed and a broken couch like that would be okay. This buisiness is going down hill. We have been using this hotel for years for my coworkers on business travels and on personal travel but I think it’s time to find another franchise to be a part of.
