I never stayed in a room, but I’m giving it a five star. The restaurant by the pool is fabulous. I have never had such a big tasty hamburger in my life! Even at luxury restaurants and fabulous Burger restaurants I’ve ever experienced such a huge and pasty meal the fries were massive as well. The portions are the giant people!!! The wedding venue is superb. I thoroughly recommend checking it out. It was the most affordable place from any venue in the area. The gazebo is gorgeous in the banquet rooms are okay but right next to the outside area. This is obviously not a pristine venue like Trademark or Wedgewood properties, but for 100 people and under $15,000 I think it’s exceptional. Anne-Marie is the coordinator and she’s fabulous to work with. Like I said, I didn’t stay at the hotel and I don’t know about the rooms, but I’m pretty sure they would not disappoint.

Most staff were nice, but Pamela from Indiana was not helpful. I paid an extra day and she accosted me on the phone and threatened to call security on me. The TVs are super outdated and the rooms need microwaves. Other than that the location is cool and good amenities on site like a salon, pool, bar, and restaurant.

I never do reviews, but I had to after our stay here. This was a VERY unpleasant stay. Our room faced the pool, and we had to call the front desk several times at night because of the loud music being played by other guests. We did not get any rest at all. The bathroom is so small that the door hits your knees when you sit down. The water pressure was low. The AC was loud so if you are a light sleeper, it will keep you up all night along. The walls/windows are paper thin. And you'll have to pay to park your rental in the parking lot $24 extra/day. I would suggest finding another hotel.

I came out to the area for 4 days because family member was having surgery. The website looked promising. However, the moment I checked in I started to regret my pick in hotel. The young lady who checked me in wasn’t too friendly. Then I park and go to my room in the back just to be given keys that weren’t activated. So now me and my family standing in hallway with all our bags until someone can check let us in with replacement keys which was forgot by security when he got there. The rooms are decent size. However the restroom extremely small and no ventilation. The beds were super hard definitely giving back pain. Maybe it’s time for renovations here because for the amount of money spent was definitely not worth it. I could paid 20-30$ more to stay across the street at double tree but hey that’s my own fault for trying to save a buck and giving new places a chance. The best part of this facility is the pool area very beautiful. I will never be back to stay here again this was quite a horrible stay. My two stars given is because of the pool. Also be prepared for parking fees. Friday night brought out the party people. Very loud in patio areas after quiet time. I assume security doesn’t do rounds.

We were very disappointed with our stay at the Handlery Hotel from 4/9–4/12. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing like what was advertised and was far from the relaxing getaway we booked. The room view and location were not as described online. We were placed directly next to/across from a housekeeping closet, which became a major issue. Starting every morning around 6:30–7:00 AM, staff would gather there talking loudly, using phones, and slamming doors repeatedly. Because of that, we were woken up every day and never got to sleep in once during our trip. The walls were also extremely thin. We could hear neighboring guests late into the night, and there was a nearby room with a dog left unattended that howled and cried for long periods. The hotel stay was stressful and not restful at all. The room itself had several cleanliness and maintenance concerns: mold in the bathroom, bubbling wallpaper that appeared to be caused by moisture, dusty conditions, and a dirty balcony covered in cobwebs. We also tried to use the jacuzzi on our first day, but it was extremely foamy and dirty, so we never used it again. We requested to be moved shortly after checking in because of the room location, but were told no. Later in the stay, we requested an extra pillow and blanket, and the pillow delivered smelled strongly of body odor and was unusable. Another frustrating issue was being denied a hotel-offered room service amenity after staff asked whether we booked direct or through a third party. Once I said Expedia, I was told it was not available. It definitely felt like third-party guests were treated differently. What made this even worse is that after the trip, Expedia contacted the hotel regarding our concerns, and the hotel refused any refund or compensation claiming that we never complained during the stay. That is simply not true. I personally raised concerns twice: once on Thursday within about 15 minutes of checking in, and again on Saturday afternoon. The same front desk employee handled both interactions, was rude each time, and apparently failed to document anything. Overall, the stay was dirty, noisy, poorly maintained, and customer service was dismissive from start to finish. Very disappointing experience, and I would not stay here again. Adding map so you can see the rooms shown on sites with a view are very limited and most rooms are in the 3 rows with views looking at buildings.
