  Great location, horrible service. The old lady at the front desk was very rude and unhelpful, and she dropped my receipt on the desk instead of handing it to me. The rooms were hot because the AC does not work well. I do not recommend staying here during the summer due to the poor AC.

  They allow their parking system to ruin any other impression you might have of the place. Ace parking is a criminal organization.

  One of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Absolutely disgusting and nowhere near worth the price. The room smelled terrible, the bathtub/shower wouldn’t drain, and there wasn’t even any shower gel. I reported the clogged drain to the front desk and specifically asked for the bathroom to be cleaned and bleached, but nothing was done. I also asked for shower gel and never received it. The entire property had the feel and cleanliness of a cheap $20 motel, yet they charge hotel prices. Even the bar closes at 9 p.m., which was surprising. I do want to make it clear that I don’t blame the front desk staff—they were very nice and pleasant to deal with. Unfortunately, that couldn’t make up for the condition of the hotel itself. For the price they charge, the cleanliness, maintenance, and basic service were completely unacceptable. I would absolutely not stay here again.

  We had an amazing vacation experience at the Handlery hotel. The room was clean, the food was tasty. We loved the service and the pool area. The location is good too. Would highly recommend.

  This is the third year in a row that I've stayed here for our annual DI reunion. Although I live close by in Chula Vista, I wanted to hang out with by buddies and not worry about having to drive. The rates are very inexpensive and the service is exceptional. All the staff went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP. Love the pool! I would like to give a shoutout to Pam at the front desk who was very professional, friendly, and made sure I was assigned a room in the area I requested. Jesus in the pool bar area was a great bartender. He makes the best Bloody Marys!!! He was friendly and made me feel at home. We talked for a while, and we entertained each other with exaggerated stories :). Carmen in the dining area was courteous, quick, and ensured I had everything I needed. BTW, the breakfast was delicious! :)o
