  First time visiting this location and I honestly liked it a lot more than both Holiday Inn and Homewood Suites. What really stood out to me were the amenities. The gym was great, the pool was big, and the jacuzzi was a huge plus. Overall, this hotel offers way more amenities compared to those other two hotels. The rooms are a little older and the building itself feels slightly outdated, but the amenities and customer service definitely make up for it. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The location is honestly one of the best parts about this hotel. It’s centrally located in San Diego and close to so many great restaurants and attractions. It’s only about 9 minutes from Little Italy, so if you want to go downtown and take an affordable Uber ride, this is a great place to stay. Parking was also surprisingly easy and affordable. There was plenty of parking space, and for IHG members, parking was only $10 a day, which is hard to beat in that area. Overall, we had a great experience and I highly recommend this hotel, especially for families with kids. They’ll love the water features in the middle of the property and the peaceful sound of birds chirping in the morning.

  The hotel is dirty. The rims are filthy. They smell like smoke. There are metal/caged doors to be able to get into the hotel. It feels almost like a prison. Entire hotel smells poorly Terrible property needs to be completely demolished or renovated. Recommend staying anywhere but this location.

  The price was great for a Friday night, it was a very good deal. The room had a, microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. No free breakfast but a very affordable cafe located on site. A bar with food also available in the evening. Property is older, but well kept. Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the beautiful pool area. Beds were very nice, we slept well. One issue upon arrival, our room smelled like cigarettes. This was quickly resolved and we were moved instantly. The staff was excellent! Every member i encountered took excellent care of us.

  I don’t do this often but i’m bothered by them. we got in late last night at 11pm. we were going to possibly stay a few more days but wanted to try out the hotel since its new. the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all. it was disgusting. I had to clean it myself before I let my kids bathe in there. then when I told front desk they said someone would call me at noon to work out something and the manager also never called. no idea what’s up but absolutely bothered

  We had a wonderful stay at the Crowne Plaza San Diego - Mission Valley by IHG, thanks in large part to the outstanding front desk team. After running into an issue with our original hotel reservation, we needed a last-minute booking. Jesse went above and beyond— he was incredibly attentive, respectful, and genuinely helpful in getting us sorted quickly and comfortably. Jackie was equally sweet and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Both of them truly turned what could have been a stressful situation into a positive experience. The staff’s kindness made all the difference, and we’ll definitely be back on our next trip to San Diego! Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for friendly service in a convenient Mission Valley location.
