  Got a day pass for a short getaway. Great food at the Grill and amazing service from Willy! Two pools and the further one was nice and quiet for an evening hot tub soak after a delicious pita colada. 🧉✨️

  Breakfast is not free. That is very uncommon for Best Westerns. Most are complimentary. Just a greedy move happening because it’s near the ocean. Bummer! Will not stay here.

  Went a while ago. The hardware condition was pretty terrible, dirty old carpet and damp rotten wooden furniture. Breakfast was included but server without much service would just charge a tip to your room without asking.

  It absolutely ridiculous, unprofessional and disappointing to know that when there's an event such as fireworks or for anything that matter. They literally can NOT guarantee any parking on the property for their customers or those who made reservations. Especially there is a minimum stay of 2 nights starting at $1,000 and up. There's literally no common sense or rational logic behind this inconvenience. You customers should be served first by charging $5 parking fee. Just like ANY other hotel out there. This hotel is suppose to be the best of the best... but these lower/cheaper price motels and hotels making you look bad considering they can actually guarantee parking by charging parking for their customers. If someone having to spend that much on minimum stay, the lease you can do is guaranteed parking for them especially during events like 4th of July.

  Not to be dramatic, but i’m from the Pacific Northwest and this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. This was my third time in San Diego, but I didn’t realize you could stay on the marina like this for so cheap! I don’t think I really knew what a vacation was prior to my experience here last weekend. I had the pool to myself in the morning (open from 8am to 11pm), 15% off at the attached restaurant that boasts an amazing view of the marina and overlooks the pool, free parking across the street, easy room service breakfast (get the smoked salmon avocado toast!), plus it’s just a nice relaxing area to come “home” to after a stay of exploring the surrounding areas. My favorite was the market! I had gone to the restaurant at the other end of the island for lunch and was going to grab dessert from the hotel restaurant, but instead I purchased a lime mango cake from a punk at the market and ate it in bed like a goblin! Wonderful! My card key wouldn’t work from the outside door unfortunately, and they didn’t fix it by the time I left, but it seemed like something they were working on. Not a huge deal because I could just use the side door. I also found it odd that they didn’t line their garbage bins in the room, but that is a very mild complaint. Room service did a great job. I will be returning next year and hopefully bringing a friend or two. Everyone should experience this place!
