  Hotel was easy to find from the freeway. Had safe garage parking for a fee. Hotel staff was nice and our room was clean and comfortable. The check in line was super long when I got there but it moved quickly. Location was really close to the Old Town area which allowed us to walk there in less than 5 minutes.

  Absolutely loved my stay! The staff went above and beyond to make our experience special, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring, and the amenities were top-notch. Can't wait to come back!

  I was very disappointed with my stay at the Holiday Inn Sacramento Downtown - Arena. The hotel feels quite aged and in need of renovation. The windows have very poor sound isolation, so street noise was loud. The AC unit was extremely noisy, making it hard to sleep. The pull-out sofa in the room was uncomfortable and in poor condition. We requested additional towels and sheets but had to ask twice, and they were only partially provided. There is also no valet parking, which was inconvenient. Finally, breakfast starting at 7:00 AM is far too late for most travelers. Overall, the hotel did not meet basic expectations for a Holiday Inn. I would not recommend staying here.

  Mgmt: save the AI-generated reply. No need to waste CPU cycles on a reply. Rooms: dated and in dire need of a refresh. Very limited outlets, thinner mattress, small and old TV. Very thin walls - you’ll hear your neighbors doing routine things (coughing, talking, watching TV, and so on). The blackout blinds allow a lot of light - they aren’t fitted to the windows like newer hotels so light escapes by quite easily. Staff: amazing. Super easy check-in and all of our interactions were great. 5+ stars here. Facilities: average; didn’t have to pay for parking as we didn’t have a car but we did notice the prices were insanity - $49/night for parking in Sacramento seems ridiculous. The bodega prices were also wild - a water, bag of chips and a *can* of soda was $17. Location: good; next to a lot of things, and is walkable. Unfortunately the hotel is also next to a busy highway and a train track, so thanks again to the thin walls and windows, you’ll hear outside noises. Value: 0 stars. Our five night stay averaged $300/night. That is absolutely outrageous for the quality of this hotel. We’ve stayed at much nicer properties for 1/2 as much, so unless the location is critical, look elsewhere. The place doesn’t justify the cost.

  The IHG hotel management canceled our reservation less 5 days before arrival due to "over booking", yet they are posting online reservations options at 2 x what we were to pay. Not only were we notified AFTER all hotel prices in the area increased due to demand and last minute booking, IHG management only offered to relocate us to a hotel no longer walking distance to the venue which was the ONLY reason we chose this hotel. IHG's blatant poor business practices putting profits ahead of customer satisfaction is dishonest and disingenuous. I will not longer provide business to ANY IHG hotels.
