It is deceptive to call this a 5-star hotel. It's not even close. I've stayed in nicer rooms at La Quinta suites. The property is amazing, but the buildings need to be either torn down or brought up to standards. Our suite was plain weird. Several doors that open to public spaces, including the bedroom. Just some of the areas where this hotel is worse than a 3-star include: Terrible lighting in the rooms. Almost no electrical outlets. Mechanical systems that are so old they rattle and make noise such that you can't sleep without earplugs. Empty mini bar. Water take 5 minutes or more to get hot No turn down service. Outdated electronics. Bad housekeeping. No hair dryer in room. Very slow valet service Old, dated furnishings. Broken elevator. The entire place smells like an old person's home. They must also sell passes to non hotel guests as both pools were packed with screaming kids all day. Oh yeah, it's also very expensive. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience.

For the price - hotel is pretty good. 5* rating but honestly it kinda feels like it’s barely holding on to the rating. If you want super 5* romantic, wouldn’t bother. If you want 5* and and reasonable price, then it’s pretty great. Valet is mandatory and slow. Painful so make sure you leave time. Towels have rips Silly prices for some items. Dirty pool beds and others look brand new. It’s a funny 50/50 5star experience. But given the price for LA… it’s kinda expected

We are just coming off a five-night stay at the Langham Huntington in Pasadena and cannot say enough great things about our experience. Beginning with a warm welcome from the valet staff, everyone we crossed paths with was so nice. The front desk was helpful with our special requests, and we made a few over the week. We stayed in a Deluxe Premier room which was spacious and very comfortable for the three of us. The room was very nicely appointed. The Royce Pool was great! We spent a few hours there each afternoon. You can order lunch and they have a full bar! There is also sunscreen at the pool in case you forget get bring yours down. The temperature of the water for was perfect! Now the food…. you don’t need to leave the grounds for a great meal. Breakfast was incredible at the Terrace and our dinner at the Royce Steak House was over the top! I honestly think the steak I had was the finest cut of steak I have ever tasted! On Saturday we went down to breakfast and were pleasantly surprised find a buffet. It was great! Seriously, it was an amazing spread they put out! We ventured out a few hours each day into the community and surrounding cities. There was never a shortage of things to do. The hotel offers a car service that can run you to Old Pasadena in just a few minutes. I would encourage everyone to experience the local flavor of Pasadena; it is a wonderful community and has so much to offer. The Langham is very child welcoming and friendly. Make sure to ask at the front desk about the scavenger hunt. Take advantage of the beautiful grounds and enjoy a walk through the lush landscaping or have your morning coffee in the courtyard or one of the many places with a great view. I sat on the balcony of the Tap room with my coffee and made a few calls. The view was great and there was no one out there! It was so peaceful! I would recommend a stay at the Langham Huntington! It was the most relaxing get-a-way we could have hoped for. We will definitely be back!

The Langham Pasadena is a beautiful property with stunning gardens and architecture, which makes this experience even more disappointing. During my stay, the hotel chose to replace its irrigation system, leaving the entire front entrance of the resort torn up with dirt, trenches, and heavy machinery. It is difficult to understand why management would schedule such a major construction project during one of the busiest times of the year rather than during the off-season when it would have had far less impact on guests. For a property that markets itself as a five-star luxury resort, this demonstrated a surprising lack of planning and consideration for the guest experience. Unfortunately, the service also fell well below expectations. At the Royce Pool, the staff was consistently unfriendly, drinks often took close to an hour to arrive, and food service was even slower. The level of hospitality did not reflect the standards one would expect from a luxury resort. The most concerning issue, however, was discovering bed bugs in my room. Rather than taking accountability and working toward a reasonable resolution, the hotel has been unwilling to address the situation appropriately. This turned what should have been a relaxing stay into an extremely stressful and frustrating experience. A five-star rating should represent exceptional service, thoughtful management, cleanliness, and a commitment to guest safety. While the property itself is beautiful, my experience fell far short of the standards that a hotel of this reputation should uphold.

Exquisite property, beautiful art, exceptional service, and stunning gardens. This beautifully renovated hotel has preserved its original charm while offering every modern comfort. The spa is simply superb—a perfect place to relax, recharge, and recover from the demands of work. During my visit, I accidentally lost my diamond ring. Paula, who was diligently ensuring the spa was impeccably maintained with fresh towels, chilled face towels, and infused water, immediately stepped in to help. She searched every inch of the spa with genuine care and determination until we found it. I cannot express how grateful I am for her kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail. It was such a relief, and I truly don't know what I would have done without her assistance. We also enjoyed many of the hotel's amenities, including the complimentary bicycles. Álvaro was incredibly attentive and helpful, making sure we had properly fitted helmets and that the bicycles were adjusted to our height. His outstanding service made the experience even more enjoyable. After spending many years working in luxury hospitality myself, I especially appreciate professionals who genuinely care about creating memorable guest experiences. This team embodies true hospitality, with authentic attention to detail that has become increasingly rare. Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We left feeling refreshed and energized, and we will definitely be back. Five stars to this incredible team for setting such a high standard in the hospitality industry.
