  Woke up late at night to men pounding at my door. Two cops claiming that I was trespassing and want to come in to talk. 12 hours earlier I checked in, PAID $319 and was given my two keys. Received a confirmation and welcome email too. They were insisting that if I dont open the door, theyre going to break in and arrest me. The receptionist was there with them claiming that I didnt pay. That what they took was a fee for not canceling my prior reservation. Why was I given a key to get into my room? And why wasnt that said from the very beginning? They didnt answer. They start messing and forcing the door open. Im alone and not opening the door to two men; even if they claim to be cops. I couldnt sleep the whole night thinking they were going to come back and break in. I was overall angry but scared of what they could do to me. My company has supported me in blacklisting this hotel. The only silver lining in all of this.

  A great value find in the LA Area. There are a couple of nearby grocers in the area and a kitchenette in the room. Parking seemed secure. Shower faucets had some issues but overall functional.

  We stayed here from the 24th to the 26th of April. If you are on the 4th floor, check for bugs. We were greeted with two huge cockroaches when we opened our room door. One on the floor, one on the wall. Immediately went back down and requested a different room. Were placed in a room on the second floor. I personally wanted to leave but my husband was tired. The room had no active bugs but evidence of them. The place isn't clean. The rooms had debris along the baseboards, as did the hallways. Water was turned off for a time on Saturday which was inconvenient. Water pressure was poor the entire stay. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. This is not the standard we have come to expect from holiday inn express. Think twice before booking here.

  Rooms are clean and the layout is good for early risers with late sleepers but the beds are incredibly hard and uncomfortable.

  We always stay here in Pasadena. It's not my favorite HIE, but it's a good location. I use my points because I think the rooms are expensive for what you get. We skip the breakfast and eat out. It's the usual HIE fair. Nothing special.
