Noisy, dogs barking, the air conditioner smells and hard to use.

Ryan and James at the front desk were both super kind and helpful! They made the whole process a lot easier, and I really appreciate their help. Thank you both!

They lied and said there was a gym but there is no gym - not due to a temporary problem - they have been using it for storage apparently. The first room they put me in was dirty and the ac was broken. The staff were polite and the grounds are tidy. But this owner clearly does not care. They could not even bother to set the clocks right in the room - showing how little they pay attention.

in my experience this place was dirty, things were broken, and I only felt moderately safe. It's serviceable in a pinch but pretty gross. bring Clorox wipes and your own pillowcases, and definitely check the room before bringing up your suitcase to make sure everything works and it has been cleaned . The gym is closed and a lot of things are broken like ice machines. The AC was broken in my room and bath fan sounded like a broken jet engine, and everything was really dirty still, stained / splatters on walls, greasy lightswitches, filthy stained carpet etc. It took three tries to get a proper room with keys that worked. Everything is super run down. the clientele are mostly construction workers and truckers - which I do prefer over drug addicts or partiers because they have to get up in the morning and do not want any trouble. The young front desk gal is extremely sweet and doing her best I think. I paid $150/ night for this, yikes. you wont want to linger in the room since you can't touch anything. if you Clorox down all of the smooth surfaces then at least you will know that those are clean you can set things down on them . Bring flip-flops to wear in your room . mismatched sheets and pillowcases that were kind of thrown over nasty old pillows all messed up. plasticky polyester pillowcases. I did check the mattress for bugs and couldn't find any, so that's good. the grounds are tidy. freeway noise is not an issue - more like white noise.

We couldn't stay here, but I wanted to leave a rating because of the awesome customer service for cancelling. I booked through a third party. The third party said they couldn't cancel without the hotel agreeing to it. I called the hotel, and Priyansh agreed to cancelling it with no charge to me despite it being booked via a third party and being close to the check in (2 days prior). He just asked the third party to call him, which they did. Very kind of him and Best Western. Next time I am in Oceanside, I'll look for this place and book direct.
