    We got an ocean view room. It had a small balcony which I would go on every day just to watch the ocean and birds and such. Room was so nice. It was spacious, clean, good temp, good design, bed very comfortable, bathroom beautiful. Rest of the hotel was beautiful. It's right in the middle of cannery row which is chalk full of shopping, eating, and things to see. We got a voucher for 2 meal and drink for breakfast which was good. On a side note, the pool was very skinny, it was more of a lap pool but only got 4' at its deepest. So not the place for a pool party. Lol. I would gladly stay again.

    This place is absolutely amazing. Rooms were comfortable and inviting, beds comfortable, and all the linens/towels super soft. All the staff are incredibly nice and attentive, though bar service took a bit long for my taste. Views onto the bay are amazing and location on Cannary Row can't be beat. Had a window overlooking the street and couldn't hear the street at night even though it was right there.

    I am giving this 5star mostly to Josh, who made our stay experience an amazing one. He was such a wonderful kindhearted genuine person. We enjoyed the process and the conversation with him. The room he gave us had a cute little fire place with a great window to trees and a cafe outside the hotel= The studio Cafe (which is a must go too😁). When Josh wasn’t there another night, a lady with the name of Vaca, if I’m not mistaken, was at the concierge. In short, we didn’t feel welcomed or cared for by her. These moments of having different experiences with people show us how important it is for all of us to pick a job that is right for us because not only it affects other people, it shapes who we are as a person. On last thing: the bartender, JJ, was also another kind caring person who is awesome at his job. Thank you to Josh, JJ, and the whole team who made our stay a wonderful memory. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.

    Great location, the front desk reception is service is a slow. The IHG App does not work well with this hotel. The Wifi was not working for more than a day. I arrived at 230pm did not receive a text or call telling me the room was ready. I came back at 3:10pm and room was finally ready. I booked two rooms for a night and requested connecting rooms weeks ago via email, no response was received. The rooms were adjoining at least. There are No upgrades available for platinum members. Its probably best to call in next time to request things. Valet service is 5 stars. They help charge your EV as well.

    We stayed at the InterContinental Monterey on June 13, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we have had. Around 10:00–11:00 PM, our 1-year-old son, who is currently teething, was crying, and we received a noise complaint. We completely understand that hotels must address guest concerns, but the way the situation was handled was extremely unprofessional. The front desk lady suggested that if our baby continued crying, we should take him to the “reading room.” I do not understand how it would be reasonable or comfortable to take a teething 1-year-old up and down the hotel in the middle of the night. She then stated that if she received one more noise complaint, we would have to leave the hotel and be escorted out. As a parent, I found this very upsetting. Babies cry, especially when they are teething and in pain. Instead of showing understanding, we felt threatened and embarrassed. After that conversation, I immediately started looking for another hotel. My husband also called other hotels in the area, but because it was a busy weekend, everything was fully booked. If we had been able to find another hotel, we would have left that night. I was unable to sleep for the rest of the night because I was constantly worried about receiving another complaint. As a mother, I stayed up late doing everything possible to make sure my baby did not cry. The next morning, while checking out, I spoke with a lady and a gentleman at the front desk about what had happened. They were incredibly respectful, understanding, and professional. They listened to our concerns and handled the situation with compassion, which we greatly appreciated. This used to be one of my favorite hotels, and I have always chosen to stay here whenever I visit the area. Unfortunately, after this experience, this will be my last visit. Families with young children deserve understanding and respect, and sadly, that was not the experience we received that night.
