  The pool and hot tub were out of service, and had been for 2 months. They were still advertising a pool but with a very subtle text note on the website that it was closed - a smaller notice than the pool advertisement itself. They were unwilling to provide compensation, of any kind, for the inconvenience. The hotel was otherwise reasonable.

  We stayed here for one night as we drove down the coast. Good location and value. Just be aware the rooms have no ac and there was nothing about this upon booking. It was cool while we were there, but could see it being uncomfortable on a warm day.

  In order of the review categories.... 1) we were in the very first room in the hallway off the main lobby and it was LOUD, night and day. 2) front desk staff were very courteous, but management is abhorrent. See my NOTE below. 3) hotel was about a 15 minute walk down to the wharf, but not much else going for its location. 4) breakfast is very simple fare, but located in a tiny room which was overwhelmed by the morning crowd with insufficient seating. NOTE: when we arrived for a spring break stay we were told the pool and hot tub were out of service, and the front staff admitted they had been so for many months, which very much disappointed my little boy. I won't go into the litany of lame excuses provided by staff and management in an email, but the only notice of them being out of order was hidden in fine print way down on their website (see attached photo), instead of in a prominent banner at the top of their home page. When I emailed the manager regarding my dissatisfaction the best she could offer was a $50 refund, but despite two follow-up emails and a phone call to her I have had zero response, nor have I seen any refund. I spent a career in the hospitality industry and I know the product and customer service we received were sadly deficient. Take it from a pro, there are lots of comparably priced hotels in the Monterey area and I would strongly advise you avoid this one.

  Stayed in 2 King suite beds were super soft plus great balcony with table and chairs. Unfortunately hot tub and pool closed total bummer. Breakfast was not the best but at least included. Good location close to downtown and the wharf would stay again

  Nice regular hotel. Room was clean. Breakfast was decent enough as a free buffet. Housekeeping on request. Location is convenient by car to the peninsula. Parking was fine. No AC, which was a little rough our first night. Bed was crazy soft (I much prefer firm mattress, but rest of family was fine)
