  We stayed in Suite 300 at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Modesto-Salida. The room itself was okay, and the cleanliness was also satisfactory. We had no major complaints in that regard. Unfortunately, the noise level was a complete disaster. There is significant noise from the road, and on top of that, there is a go-kart track directly across from the hotel. With all this noise, getting a good night’s sleep was practically impossible. Being able to rest and sleep should be one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel. We were also very disappointed with the recognition of my IHG Platinum Elite Ambassador status. Nothing special was done or offered, and we did not feel that our status was acknowledged or valued in any meaningful way. It gave us the impression that elite status simply does not matter at this property. Overall, while the room and cleanliness were acceptable, the excessive noise and lack of recognition for IHG elite members made this a very disappointing stay. But, the staff is very friendly and they are doing everything possible to help you.

  I stayed here one night. I checked in around 45 min early without an issue. The staff was friendly, location was nice and within a few miles of restaurants/stores, rooms were clean, and wifi was good. I would definitely stay here again.

  A very well maintained Holiday Inn Express. The staff are very friendly, especially the night front desk clerk, she is delightful. Comfortable beds and a nice restful spot to recuperate and relax.

  A winner! This hotel is totally solid for the price. Very friendly staff and best thing is the Mon - Wed evening complimentary beer & wine from 530-630. Cool! Breakfast is standard boring stuff BUT they had SOS (shit-on-shingle) which is sausage gravy w/ biscuits, my Fav! Rooms are clean & functional, great shower - but the tub slopes inward which hurt my feet. Weird things: 1) bathroom door auto closes, so you must prop it for proper air circulation, 2) bathroom smelled smoky but not sure why. Must be from AC vent, 3) bathroom tiles are white and easily scuffed very dirty from my indoor flip-flops. Overall, a really great stay. Has a full fitness center, complimentary breakfast & coffee, some cookies in evening but they go fast, plenty of free parking, near restaurants, Walmart, TJ-Maxx, and mall. Hint - go up the street for happy hour at BJ's.

  Roomy and so well organized! Armoire, wall hooks, corner shelf right when you enter - great for your room key. There's a chaise lounge with a cool side table next to the bed and an office area for your laptop and chargers. TV, safe, and plenty of USB plugins and soft lighting options on the armoire and TV wall. Nice for winding down for the evening. Bathroom is spacious and also organized well - great options there too! Magnifying mirror, lotion, shelves, great lighting, shampoo, conditioner & body wash in a roomy shower/tub combo. It is clean from the parking lot to your room, even in the back of the building. Comfy beds, clean linens, quiet and wonderfully designed. The only drawback is the fan in the bathroom did not work, so there was a dampness smell in the room. I turned the fan on hoping that helps remove some of the humidity smell. Check in was a breeze - close to food and convenience options. Great choice for a quick business trip or longer stay. If you are traveling with kiddos, the motel is right next to Boomer's amusement park. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This is a fantastic choice.
