  Maria at the front desk was amazing. My wife and I are hiking the PCT and had special concerns about our bags. Although the Sure Stay did not have a place to store them she created an accomodations. When weather was an issue the following day and we decided to stay they were short on rooms she made sure one was cleaned early so we could move right away and still get our errands done. As a business owner I would hire Maria to be the face of my business anytime. She was pleasant, friendly and worked hard to make our Mammoth stay a great experience . We really appreciated her.

  Rooms were clean and functional. The lobby stocks snacks and sundries. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, bagels, cereals, waffles, juices, and yogurt. Staff was friendly and helpful. It was what we expected from a mid-tier hotel.

  Unfortunately this stay fell short in several ways. The TV in our room didn't work, and the remote wouldn't function either, so we had no entertainment for the entire stay. Several light switches in the room also didn't turn on, which made things frustrating after dark. Parking was another issue — the garage spaces were extremely tight ("squishy" is honestly the best word for it), and there wasn't enough room to comfortably park, let alone maneuver. Noise was also a problem — it was quite loud from other guests staying nearby, making it hard to relax or get good rest during our stay. On top of that, we asked about a later checkout and were told no — even though we offered to pay extra for the extension. A little flexibility would've gone a long way, especially given the other problems we were already dealing with. Overall, the basics just weren't handled here. I'd think twice before booking again.
