se você quer estragar a sua experiência em Mamouth Lakes esse é o lugar certo.
Me hospedei em dezembro de 2025. Como não sabia quantos dias ficaria na cidade fiz duas reservas, a primeira sem direito de cancelamento e mais uma noite com direito de cancelamento.
Depois de sete horas dirigindo, desde Yosemite Valley, chegamos as 9:00 PM, fizemos o check-in e ao tomar banho percebemos que não tinha água quente no chuveiro.
Estava nevando e não tinha água quente no hotel! Depois de sete horas de estrada, nada podia ser feiro. Ao reclamar fui informado de que o gerente só estaria na manhã seguinte.
Ao conversar com o Sr. Brett Balsmeyer, o mesmo me informou que compensaria a situação cancelando a cobrança da primeira diária.
Diante dos aborrecimentos e limitações do hotel, decidimos partir um dia antes então cancelei a última noite.
O hotel se aproximou dessa situação para alegar que já tinham me reembolsado, escondendo a devolução prometida pela noite sem água quente.
Depois de 45 dias insistindo em vários e-mails e pedindo ajuda ao staff do hoteis.com (expedia) finalmente pude ter o meu dinheiro de volta.
Então resolvi registrar todos os detalhes aqui para que você não passe por essa experiência desagradável que estragou minhas férias e que tomou meu tempo e gerou aborrecimentos por mais seis semanas.
Foram limitados e desonestos!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Outbound Mammoth. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the staff made us feel very welcome. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing after a long day.
One of the best parts was how pet friendly the hotel is. Traveling with pets can sometimes be stressful, but they truly made it easy and enjoyable. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and comfortable all around. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return again.

I would never stay at this hotel again, and I strongly advise families with children to stay far away. What was meant to be a comfortable stay turned into a nightmare.
Unacceptable Room Conditions: The rooms had spider/bugs. To make matters worse, the hallways smelled of weed. Room window has no net.
Overcharged & Dishonest Billing: Despite checking out after only one night due to the poor conditions, the hotel charged me for two nights. They agreed to charge for one night but charged for 2 nights. Inspite of repeated requests, they refused.
Apathetic Management: When I brought these issues to the management’s attention, they showed zero concern. They were dismissive and clearly do not care about the safety or satisfaction of their guests. They are more interested in taking your money than providing a basic level of service. They also charged resort fees, it was mentioned in the booking but I saw it in my bill. Again, when you ask any questions, you would not find any answers. I wonder, if any sr. mgmt know about it or why they do not take any action on these basics. They least care about their reputation or customer safety or satisfaction. Wish we were aware of this scam earlier.
This was easily the worst hotel experience I’ve had. Save your money and your sanity—book somewhere else.

I was a little hesitant to stay here because of the mixed reviews but really glad I did! This hotel is in the perfect location, especially if you are in town for leisure. It is close to shops and restaurants, although you may not even need them because the Bar Sierra and a crepe/coffee truck is on site. We stayed in a cabin room and it was the perfect size. The cabin has an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave and even dishes/utensils which is so helpful to people with longer stays. Some of the reviews mentioned hidden fees, all fees were disclosed when booking through their direct site. My only complaint is that our electric fireplace didn’t work, but not a big deal because the cabin had adequate heating. This will be our go to spot for Mammoth going forward.
@Brett, I am sure you do not understand my frustration, because you were the one who informed me that I would not be getting a refund. for the past 5 months, your team has been going back and forth saying that I would be issued a refund, and then as soon as you responded this month, suddenly now the policy is checked and I am informed that it cannot be refunded or cancelled.
I have already called and emailed you about this issue several times, but all I have gotten is the same response. So obviously, you do not understand my frustration.

Booked a room for my family to go in January, and ended up changing plans and cancelled my reservation in November.
come to find that they cancelled my reservation but never issued a refund. Began a several month trek to get my refund only to be dragged on and messaging being changed.
it went from you need to contact the Sales department, where the sales department never picks up the phone, so I called the front desk who tell me that the refund will be issued the next day, to a month later saying that no refund and no cancellation is allowed for Advance Purchases. but on their website there are two advance purchases, where 1 states that the prepurchase has no refund or cancellation, while the other one doesn't list it, BUT it is the same thing.
I tried to ask why if I am not allowed to get a refund or cancel, I was not told at the time if cancellation, and have gotten a cancellation confirmation, and then I stopped getting responses.
I don't know how the facility is if you end up going, but from the level of service I don't think I ever want to go and find out.
