OARS is a family-owned and operated whitewater rafting outfitter based in California, offering professionally guided ½-, 1-, and 2-day rafting trips on the forks of the American River since 1969. If you’re ready to spend a night or two under the stars before or after your American River rafting trip, we also offer camping at our beautiful riverside campground in Lotus, CA. If you have your own gear, pitch your tent at one of our scenic campsites and take advantage of catered meals, hot showers and free Wifi. For those who need a little extra comfort or convenience, we offer rental camping gear and glamping tents—fully equipped to make your camping experience easy, comfortable, and relaxing.
