  The rooms were clean, tidy the location was great for what we needed. Unfortunately, the overall experience felt more like staying in a hostel not family friendly feel There were people coming and going at all hours of the night, with doors constantly slamming, which made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The booking agency we used also hadn’t updated the information about the laundry facilities, which was disappointing as this was something we had expected to be available. Breakfast was also very basic, with only a few slices of toast and some yoghurt available. The amount provided didn’t seem enough to cater for more than a few rooms at a time. We ended up checking out a day early and heading elsewhere, as the noise and limited facilities made the stay less enjoyable than expected.

  My favorite cheap local hotel has gone through a management change. The staff is now all Indian. They are pleasant but very good at just reciting their policies without any consideration for the guest. I booked a King Room which turned out to be infested with bugs (termites and spiders..lots of them). I was told there were no more rooms available but if I were to check out right away they would offer a refund. I went back to my room to look for another hotel and found 2 available rooms at the SureStay. I went back to the front desk and Lo and Behold, 2 rooms "just became available". They checked me into a queen room right next door to the one I had. For the most part, the place is decent. The carpet in the rooms seems to always have an area with something sticky on it. The beds are very firm but otherwise comfortable, and except for the one instance, I've never encountered bugs. The snack and soda machines are now off-limits after 11pm and self serve breakfast is 7-9am, consisting of cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, yoplait, and coffee/oj-like drink/and cocoa. The location is great. Erewhon natural market is across the street offering excellent hot food and groceries to go, but it's pricey. There are a number of small restaurants up and down the street, and your about a 5 block walk to The Grove shopping mall with tons of high-end stores and food. This is one of the most popular areas in L.A. The Holocaust museum is also nearby.

  ⭐️⭐️ I was disappointed with my stay. The rooms are very small and feel cramped. Breakfast has very few options, and some items run out quickly without being replaced, which makes the experience even worse. The parking lot is also extremely small and difficult to use. The entrance is very tight, and if you are not very careful, you could easily scratch or damage your car trying to get in or out. For the price, I expected much better. The hotel really needs to improve the breakfast service, parking access, and overall comfort of the rooms.

  First, my best friend chose this spot. I did not choose to stay here. I wanted to go to the Sheraton. I gave him the benefit of the doubt until we got here. Trying to take a nap midday, not it. You can hear EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE outside the door and window. The remote does not match the TV. Narrow parking. They replace the carpet. I will not walk barefoot on this carpet. Lastly, we found a roach in the bathroom. The only plus side is the farmers market is in walking distance.
