I had the privilege of serving on the planning committee for an event hosted at this iconic hotel, and when I learned this was our venue, I was absolutely ecstatic. This historic property has been around for over 100 years, filled with rich history and even its famous ghost tales — I knew right away this would be a special experience.
From start to finish, the entire staff made our group of 300+ feel incredibly welcome. A special thank you to Tony the bellman, Tony from security, Rafael from service, and Toni our server — each of you went above and beyond to ensure we were cared for. Your professionalism, kindness, and positive energy did not go unnoticed.
The hotel itself is clean, secure, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious, and every request was handled with accommodation and grace. Coordinating an event of our size is no small task, yet everything was managed seamlessly.
If you’re staying in the city, I highly recommend this hotel. Compared to other hotels within the same city block radius, it is one of the most reasonably priced options — and absolutely worth the stay. In fact, I’ll be returning in July when I’m back in Los Angeles.

Cet hotel est à rénover sérieusement, les chambre ne sont PAS DU TOUT insonorisés on entend absolument tout des chambres avoisinantes. La salle de bain est catastrophique et minuscule, aucune intimité, sans parler des fuites d'eau au niveau de la chasse d'eau, nous avons demandé a changer de chambre à cause du bruit extérieur au niveau de la cours causer par la chaufferie (ou autre chose) et de la fuite des toilettes. Dans la nouvelle chambres qui nous a été attribuée il y avait également une fuite dans les toilettes. Il n'y a pas de double vitrage dans certaines chambres. Ils savent très bien quels sont les défauts des chambres mais ils continuent à les laisser aux clients eu lieu de faire les travaux nécessaires. L'hôtel se préoccupe uniquement des tournages de films/series/clips organisés dans les parties communes et des réceptions organisés dans leur établissement. Pour ce qui est des clients de l'hôtel c est la dernière de leur préoccupation. Le petit dejeuner n'est pas très varié et de qualité médiocre. De plus, il vous feront payer des frais de "bâtiment historique" à la fin de votre séjour. Une véritable catastrophe cet hotel, passez votre chemin et garder votre argent pour des hôtels qui en valent vraiment le coup ! Je ne remettrai plus jamais les pieds dans cet hotel digne d'un 2 étoiles.

Wir waren insgesamt leider ziemlich enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt. Das Hotel wirkt auf den ersten Blick hochwertig und elegant, ist jedoch in vielen Bereichen deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und teilweise nicht gut gepflegt – gerade gemessen am doch hohen Preis.
Positiv hervorheben möchten wir auf jeden Fall das freundliche Personal sowie das 24/7 Fitnessstudio, das wirklich gut ausgestattet war und für uns sehr praktisch war.
Leider überwogen für uns dennoch die negativen Punkte:
Die gesamte Hotelanlage wirkte alt und teilweise heruntergekommen. Besonders enttäuschend war das Frühstück. Zwar war das Personal dort freundlich, allerdings war die Auswahl sehr klein und vieles wirkte nicht besonders frisch oder appetitlich angerichtet. Auch die Sauberkeit und Pflege haben uns gestört – unter anderem waren die Kaffeekannen teilweise am Ausguss verrostet. Zusätzlich wurden uns beim Auschecken plötzlich noch ca. 50 Dollar zusätzliche Trinkgeld-/Servicegebühren für das Frühstück berechnet, worüber wir vorher nicht informiert wurden. Erst auf Nachfrage erhielten wir dazu eine Erklärung; bei der Buchung war dies nur sehr versteckt angegeben.
Auch die Zimmer waren zwar grundsätzlich funktional, aber ebenfalls deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Während unseres Aufenthalts kam plötzlich Wasser von oben ins Badezimmer, wodurch das gesamte Bad unter Wasser stand. Zwar kam schnell ein freundlicher Handwerker, trotzdem sollte so etwas in dieser Hotelkategorie eigentlich nicht passieren.
Pool und Sauna waren grundsätzlich ein schönes Extra, wirkten jedoch ebenfalls alt und nicht besonders gepflegt. Beispielsweise waren Teile der Einstiegshilfe verrostet und an den Poolrändern befanden sich viele braune Flecken.
Insgesamt hatten wir uns für den Preis deutlich mehr erwartet. Das Hotel hat sicher Potenzial, benötigt aus unserer Sicht aber dringend mehr Pflege, Modernisierung und vor allem mehr Transparenz bei zusätzlichen Gebühren.

FRADULENT CHARGES! Stay at your own risk. If you love spending hours of your time calling the hotel to inquire about mysterious charges to your card after you check out, and taking time off work to file a fraud complaint with your bank, then this is the hotel for you. I booked this hotel through a popular 3rd party platform. It said in the details of the agreement (which I understand having worked in the legal field for 26 years) that all fees were paid and "no additional funds due to the hotel" except for a $5.81 fee. After checking out we noticed they actually charged us $44.81. We called and no one could tell me what exactly it was for. We did not charge anything, no room service, no parking, nothing, so they gave me the email to the supervisor. 3 calls and 2 emails later, no response. I finally filed a fraud charge with my bank and am still currently fighting it. It's not a lot of money, however, it's the principal of the matter. They stole my money, plain and simple. If they do this to half their customers and they take it lying down, that's money in their pockets and I refuse to give rich corporations my hard earned money. The hotel itself was fine, however, this was overall a horrible experience. If you're reading this and have already stayed, all I can say is CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS.
I stayed 05/01-03/2026, room 642. I booked my room through Beneplace- which offers discounts because of my job. I paid @ $515 for two nights, $480-something was due up front when booking and the remainder was due upon check-in. I was specifically told to print the confirmation page as anything other would not be accepted for confirming monies paid and reservation. Upon checking in I was charged nearly $90 for a destination fee (two days) to include what I selected, and already paid upon booking- breakfast, gym, etc. I asked front desk staff why I had not been informed of this, they stated, it was the third party's fault. Fine. Parking also was not disclosed, and that was $55/night. I parked on the street. Staff were uppity, snarly looks, and quite rude. I do not get the culture or any other -isms individuals choose to adopt. However, room was ok. Window opened for fresh air which is a win for me. The shower pressure was immense, with no adjustment; cannot think it would be safe or comfortable for a kid or elderly person. I received my hold for incidentals back, yet I was charged $3.34 for a food tax. When I called I finally reached someone after two days who transferred me to a Cindy C. She stated that it was a food tax/tip for the servers. Mind you, this was a continental breakfast. I explained, where was this noted or displayed because I had already paid for that when I booked and when I arrived and paid their destination fee. She stated it was when you come into the dining area- which was not true, kept over-talking me and eventually discontinued the call by transferring me to a rando. I filed a dispute with my bank on general principal alone. I will not be nickeled and dimed for any reason. If I were charged for both days, that would be something to consider, however, I was not. If the charge were included in the destination fee, that would be fine, because I would not see it. What really irks me is that I did not authorize them to retain my card information for anything other than what was discussed upon check-in. Retaining my information and randomly using it is unacceptable, shady, criminal, and low- would not matter if it were a penny. I cancelled my card and re-ordered a new one. I will not be back and would not recommend based on their service and bad business practices. Considering filing a complaint with the CA AG.
