  Absolutely THE best Hotel in DTLA !! From the moment you arrive at the 70th Floor lobby..You know this is going to be an extraordinary hotel experience. Staff is always attentive and quick to respond to your every need. This is my wife’s favorite Hotel when I travel for business. This is our 6th stay at this property…and we will be back at this 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ property

  We had an amazing stay at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown for our honeymoon! The room was fantastic, spacious, and perfectly maintained, with impeccable housekeeping throughout our stay. The reception team was professional, welcoming, and efficient. The Club InterContinental breakfast was absolutely magnificent, with an excellent selection of fresh, high-quality food and delicious options to start the day. A very special mention to Michelle at the Club InterContinental breakfast reception, who was truly outstanding! Her warmth, kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made every morning feel special. She went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Thank you to the entire team for making our honeymoon so memorable. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel!

  Extremely Disappointing Experience — Not 5-Star Service Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially considering it is advertised as a 5-star property. Our breakfast experience was the first major issue. We were initially quoted a 20–30 minute wait, but that wait eventually turned into approximately an hour. Rather than continuing to wait, I decided to order at the bar after being told it would be faster. I asked for something made with almond milk, but was immediately told that the bar did not have almond milk and that they were out of approximately half of the drinks listed on the menu. Later, however, I saw someone else being served a drink made with almond milk, which was extremely frustrating and made the communication feel inconsistent. I also ordered three smoothies and a coffee, which took about 15 minutes to arrive, and the coffee was incorrect. The restaurant appeared to be significantly short-staffed. There was very little communication, and guests were essentially piled into the waiting area with no clear direction or organization. A group of five who arrived after our group of three was seated before us. For the amount of money being spent on this hotel, I expected much more attentive and organized service. Room service was another major disappointment. After ordering room service, we used the button to request that the dishes be collected. The dishes remained inside our room for 24 hours, even after I called reception and specifically requested that they be picked up. Having dirty dishes sitting in the room for an entire day, despite notifying the front desk, was extremely disappointing and not the level of service I would expect from a hotel that considers itself 5-star. When we arrived, our party also had luggage, and not a single staff member offered to assist us with bringing it to our room. Again, this was surprising given the price point and the hotel’s 5-star designation. Unfortunately, the issues weren’t limited to the hotel itself. While the location may initially seem convenient, there are a significant number of unhoused individuals in the surrounding area. During our stay, one of them actually attacked my mother while we were walking nearby, which made the surrounding area feel particularly uncomfortable and concerning for our family. Overall, I have stayed at many 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, and this experience was among the most disappointing. Nothing about the service or overall experience felt 5-star. For the price, I expected significantly better communication, attentiveness, hospitality, and basic service. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. If you are considering booking, I strongly recommend taking these issues into consideration before making your reservation.

  While the view is stunning, the overall experience at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is a disappointment and nowhere near a 5-star standard. Service is subpar from start to finish. The front desk provided zero information at check-in (including breakfast details), and the restaurant staff seated us right under glaring, direct sunlight without a care, offering no guidance or explanation. Both the hardware and service training need a massive upgrade. You are purely paying for the view—everything else fails to deliver. Not recommended.

  I truly enjoyed my week-long stay at this hotel. The front desk staff and the young lady at the concierge desk were always pleasant, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. I especially want to recognize Jereal, who was absolutely amazing! He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to see each morning while we waited for our Ubers. He consistently went above and beyond to make sure we knew where we were going and helped us navigate the area throughout the week while we were in town for the NBMBAA Conference. My only complaint was that I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the tub in my room because the water never got hot enough. That was disappointing, especially since I was looking forward to relaxing in it after long conference days. Aside from that, I had a very enjoyable stay. Great customer service can make such a difference, and Jereal truly made our experience even better. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel welcome!
