  The room was very clean and all the outlets and lights worked. We really liked the bed and the spacious shower.

  The flooring is damaged, the tv is an old model with no apps to sign into. Cable channels are limited, a tile in the shower is cracked. And the caulk around some baseboard trim is pretty bad.

  The decoration all over the hotel is amazing!! The only that's not perfect, is the furniture in the room are not in the best situation. Also, there are not in the room, safebox

  Nice view of downtown and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They made me feel welcome right away and it was a pleasure to work with the hotel staff. 5 🌟 stars.

  We had such a great stay at the Tokyo, Japan location that we booked the LA location during a quick trip here. Unfortunately, we will never stay here again as this hotel falls incredibly short to the standards of other IHG hotels. 1) We had a $560/night room booked as a member of IHG. We arrived at 4pm for check in, but our room was not ready. We asked why the room was not ready with such a late afternoon check in (and guests are expected to have an 11:00am check out), but I was met with annoyance from the staff member. I’m not being impatient, I expect a punctual check in for a 4-star hotel that has a very late check in time. We also had plans for the evening that we needed to get ready for. Staff in general were indifferent and seemed tired. There is no acknowledgment of guests at check in, they just leave temporarily without saying anything. 2) After returning to the hotel after 11pm, we were met with booming music and bass coming from the lounge that shares the same floor as our room. It was like a college frat party. The music and bass was so loud even with our door closed. This was not mentioned to us at checkout. I was traveling with my elderly mother so this was NOT acceptable. Guest services were not able to be reached by phone. So after a long travel day and being out in the city, I came back to dealing with this total mess. I had to personally go downstairs. The staff were surprised that this detail was not mentioned to me at check in. They also told me their rooms were totally booked out and that my only available option was for them to cancel my room and I would have to reserve a room with a different hotel at 12am midnight. This is just incredibly insane. I believe this detail was intentionally left out to me on purpose to trap us into staying the night at the hotel. We would not have agreed to using the room had we known. They never had a proper room available to us from the beginning and this was probably why our room was not ready at check in. I seemed to be the only guest that had this issue. A room next to a lounge with booming music is not $560 worth. This is what you expect from a Motel 6, not a 4-star IHG hotel. The music eventually stopped a little past midnight so we ended up not packing our bags. I spoke to Bree, the manager, the next morning about my concerns. She immediately shot down that this was done on purpose, but I highly disagree considering the surprise from the staff members from the previous night that this detail was left out. I unfortunately did not get a full refund that should have been permitted given all the issues and distress. A hugely disappointing stay that does not warrant a 4-star label or a $560 price tag. We were so stressed and tired from just dealing with these issues. There are other wonderful hotels in the area with fantastic and helpful management. The responsibility of management and staff is to help problem solve, especially with an issue created by the staff. This should not be a burden placed upon a guest to fix.
