- SKSonia K.Jun 28, 20265.0One of the best Best Western hotels I stayed at. At Lone Pines! Spacious, clean room with one sink inside the bathroom with another one outside. Excellent breakfast. Cute name plates for each room. Definitely will stay again!
- SSStella StakeJun 23, 20265.0Rooms were very clean and spacious and bathrooms were big and nice as well. Additionally, the staff is all very helpful and kind. The breakfast options are surprisingly delicious and varied. It was a great time staying here
- CXCan XiJun 18, 20262.0The hotel is located right next to a skydiving center. Helicopters take off and land frequently right over your head very early in the morning, making it incredibly noisy. Furthermore, the front desk service was terrible. The female receptionist was very impatient during check-in. When we finished checking in and walked away from the desk, we said thank you several times, but she completely ignored us—didn't say a word or even look up. The only positive is that the hotel itself is quite clean.
- TITTT IIIJun 16, 20264.0California Lone Pineにある Best Western Frontier Motel。（201311E） Death Valley National ParkのRacetrack Playaで遊んだ後、ジープを返却して15:30頃にショップを出発。CA-190を西に向かいLone Pineを目指す。 途中から峠道になり気持ちの良いルートではあるのだが。。。 1時間も走ると辺りはだいぶ暗くなる。 同じ方向へ行く車が1台づつ減っていき対向する車も無い。 峠道を走るのはついに私だけとなった。 夕焼けが綺麗なので車を停めて暫し眺める。 よく見ると標識に小さな丸い穴が開いている。 銃で撃った痕だな、こんな所で賊が来たら身包みはがされ荒野に埋められてしまうのだろうか。 17:30、およそ2時間で目的地の宿に到着した。 辺りは照明も少なく宿の灯りが見えた時は少しホッとした。 長屋風の1階建て、少し古めではあるが問題ない。 両隣は既にお寛ぎ中か、静かに部屋に入る。 いつものデカいベッドの上に、トレーが置いてある。 たまにあるのだが、どう使うのが正解なのだろう。 カード類はそれぞれ読めばわかるが、このトレーはベッドで寛ぐ時に使うもの？ 荷物を整理して食事に出る。 戻った後は明日の帰宅に備えて身支度を整え就寝。 翌朝、部屋を出ると雲一つない快晴、向かいの山が美しい。 あれはホイットニー山かな？ だとすればアメリカ本土で最高峰の山だ。 今日は帰るだけなので遅い起床、コーヒーとヨーグルトだけ貰って来た。 粉砂糖を被ったような山々と放牧された牛。 実に長閑な景観、ここでは数々の映画撮影が行われたそうだ。 また、この付近には第二次世界大戦に於ける日本人収容所があった。 更に北へ向かうとマンモスレイクやヨセミテなど。 各観光地への中継点となっている。 次はゆっくりと訪問してみたい。
- JCJosh ColeJun 8, 20265.0It gets 5 stars because even though it’s not a five star hotel, it’s 5 stars for what it claims to be! Friendly staff, decent breakfast… I like the auto pancake machine. The pool is fun, goes from 4 ft to 8ft deep and is warm. You get a decent view of the mountains across the street and the rooms are clean and quiet. It’s nice that it’s only one story high as you get to park right outside your room!
