  Horrible customer service. Avoid this place at all costs. The front desk staff completely lacks basic hospitality skills. After being assigned a room with a broken, deafening AC unit, I asked for a different room. Instead of resolving the issue professionally, the receptionist told me he would move me but couldn't guarantee the next room would be functional because the hotel is undergoing renovations. He then explicitly stated that if the new room had any issues, he would refuse to help further. Within 5 minutes of completing my check-in, he threatened to force me off the property or call the police to charge me with trespassing just for advocating for a working room. The staff was so intensely hostile that they completely terrified our families. We had two families traveling together, and our children felt so physically insecure that we couldn't sleep. We actually had to use our own luggage to block the hotel room door out of fear that someone would break in during the night. The way the receptionist manipulated the threat of calling the police made us feel entirely helpless and unprotected. To make matters worse, when a minor $5 sign was accidentally damaged, they aggressively withheld my entire $200 deposit as a penalty. The staff here is hostile, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. Save yourself the headache, protect your family, and book elsewhere.

  Forgot my backpack after my stay and they kept it safe for a full week, till I got back to pick it up! Very honest!!!

  (0 Stars) Stay July 6, 2026 Before you hate on me, hear me out. First we came into the hotel like normal and we got the room the air conditioning is super loud and the people in the other room can hear it and it is like a dreadful sound, so we go to this receptionist with blue hair and weird piercings and fyi I think his name is Michel. Then we asked for a new room and then he said"it's not guaranteed to work cuz the hotel is under renovation" then my parents said "if it is under renovation then why are you doing business" then we were like it is okay we can leave can you please give us our money back then he was like just straight up "I can call the cops and make you pay criminal trespassing charges. We did not even break any rules or anything. It was giving scammer bcz we were five minutes in and he was gonna kick us out and not give us our money back. Then we were threatened and as a ten year old child I could not sleep 😭🥺 and then in the morning we ate the breakfast and left as fast as we can. I have heard there is a rude lady receptionist in the morning, but there is a cleaner and she was the NICEST person we met the whole experience. That's the end of the review there was a lot more but I can't remember . Honestly the cleaner should exchange spots with Michel btw Michel does night shifts.

  I stay at the Holliday inn express motels like 3 to 4 times a week and this is the absolutely worst one ive ever been to very outdated with a not so clean feel front dest was rude and the pool was disgustingly fithly I absolutely do not recommend

  I asked if an early check in was possible since my work day ended extremely early. This was around 11:30am. I am a silver member so this is a perk that they offer. The woman at the front desk gave me attitude and said “it’s 11 am” in a very snarky way. I explained to her I understood and if was possible. She had a completely dismissive and stand offish attitude after I asked her that if I cancel the room, which still charges my card, do I still get my points. She again was extremely rude about my simple question. I walked away while saying it didn’t make sense under my breath, already facing the door and she proceeded to yell at me as I was halfway out the door “YES IT DOES”. Completely ridiculous behavior and comments by the person that is representing your hotel upon arrival. I will never stay at this location if I go back to Jackson. I’ve never had been treated so terribly at a holiday inn before and I frequently stay at multiple locations across Northern California for work.
