Gary was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with at an IHG hotel. I stayed at this hotel for only one night, but I was charged for two nights of parking, which was completely ridiculous. On top of that, his behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional.
As an IHG Platinum Elite member, I have stayed at many IHG Hotels and have never experienced this kind of treatment, especially at a Staybridge Suites. Very disappointing experience.

PROS:
Clean room with full kitchen, and full sized fridge.
Great walking around the area in the A.M.
Quiet area, also room was quiet.
Coffee in rooms and lobby was delicious
Modern lobby
Cons:
Ridiculous resort and parking fee 10 and 25 respectfully, adding 15% to your final bill.
Awful beds couldnt sleep so unstable.
Minimal room to move around in the standard rooms
Very substandard breakfast (mostly processed/nuked junk) and very crowded line/breakfast serving area...the tables are nice and spreadout however.
Not their fault, but packed with kids (as usual) and youth sports teams.
Probably won't stay again close to 300 is waay to much for this. If of course, you can find better/similar that is significantly cheaper, good luck.
Hotel location is very convenient since it’s close to highway. The room is comfortable but a bit outdated with old and sticky carpet. AC works kind of strange which i think due to faulty thermostat. The higher temp you set, the colder you feel.
There’s only one elevator. It takes me a good 57 minutes walk to the lobby from my room. And NO Ice Machine. Never see it before even with motels
Staffs are friendly and helpful.
When I checked in here, I didn’t get informed from the team that Parking is charged. They just ask if I have a vehicle and whats the license plate. As the Platinum member, I been in a lot of IHG hotels and barely pay for parking, if yes, the hotel staffs always let me know. So I assume that the parking is complimentary, but ended up seeing it added when I re-check the hotel bill
Also, the way they charge the bills is confused me. They added the parking fee for first night into the hotel bill, but charge the parking fees only for the rest of nights in separate bill, which doesn’t have any information about the charge until I made the couple phone calls to sort it out. A little bit shady I would say.
Overall, a good experience during the stay.
As a Marriott elite member testing out IHG Diamond status was deeply disappointed by the lack of room upgrades, restricted late checkout, and unresponsive digital chat. Bummer because this was our 9 year wedding anniversary trip - so definitely disappointed by status not accounting for anything.
Cons summary:
- No Elite Room Upgrades: Despite three larger / upgraded rooms showing as available, no upgrade was given. Staff noted that upgrades are rarely granted during the summer season even if showing available online. That they usually only offer upgrades during spring if you have status (which was shocking that this was his response since it goes to show that status doesn’t mean anything at this hotel and people spend a lot of money to get to status)
- Poor Late Check-Out Policy: Late check-out was capped at 12:00 PM and not guaranteed, compared to the reliable 4:00 PM late checkout they typically receive with Marriott.
- Underwhelming Highest Elite Status: Holding top-tier IHG Diamond status felt unrewarding and ineffective compared to Marriott Platinum/ Titanium. Zero perks given and seemed that this was common / more of a rarity to receive an upgrade even if those rooms were available.
- Unresponsive Customer Text Chat: The hotel's text message system failed to reply even after 24 hours, and the app lacks a built-in live chat feature.
- Cleaning supplies hygiene: they did not provide new sponges for cleaning your own dishes. They provided a used brush.
Pros:
- Clean & Modern: The guest rooms were clean and the hotel facilities appeared new and well-maintained. Very happy with the cleanliness throughout the entire property.
- Quality amenities: They use the dove brand and having cheap shampoo, conditioner, and lotion always forces me to bring my own but I loved that they had good quality products that were full size in the room.
- Customer service: woman at the front was very kind and accommodating - and checked us in early which was a huge help since we had two crazy kids and a cranky one year old. She had a really sweet demeanor which is always great to walk into. With that said, the Asian man at the front didn’t even try to act like he was seeing if upgrades were available with my status. The answer was an automatic no, that they don’t do upgrades during summer because it’s busy season and there were “no rooms left”. (From a customer service perspective, he should’ve at least pretended to check if someone had the highest status, to see if he could “pretend to squeeze them in.” While this is an EQ move, even pretending to be happy that someone has status at your hotel makes them feel better. At Marriott they always thanked me for my hotel loyalty, again very different experience, so was super bummed because I had high expectations and was looking forward to this property since it had high reviews). Last, I was just curious by the end of the night (10:23pm) on whether there were any upgraded rooms still available. They in fact were showing as available and selling which means they just didn’t upgrade anyone. Very unfortunate because how you win new customers is by showing that status means something, and it’s the easiest way to get long term business away from your competitors.
Summary: If I didn’t have status, I would’ve rated this much higher. But as someone with the highest tier status at IHG (diamond elite), and it being a special occasion, it was disappointing. At Marriott you definitely receive much better perks with lower tier status and you feel like they appreciate you as a customer for it.
