  We had a great stay at Lioria Estate (formerly 27 North), booked using Chase's The Edit program. The room was very comfortable, with some caveats. We found the pillows to have very low fill power... not bad to have for a single pillow like that but when all pillows were like that it was hard to give my head the kind of support it needs when sleeping. The tub with bubbles was a particular highlight. We loved the great service. Everyone went out of their way to make the stay feel a little extra special and I loved the little things like the parting gift or the included morning mimosas in the lobby. One thing that was disappointing was the free included breakfast. First of all, despite free breakfast being advertised as an Edit benefit (a program that usually costs slightly extra to book through and where at other hotels this benefit covered a full service breakfast), it's actually included for all guests no matter where you book. I don't care that much about exclusive benefits, except the breakfast that was included is clearly a "free benefit for all guests" benefit. It was worse than what you'd get at a best western. Ignore the photo someone uploaded that shows a hot cooked breakfast. Instead what we got was two stale grocery store quality pastries, a single cold hard boiled eggs, random berries, a small yogurt, juice and French press coffee that was worse than our rooms pod machine espresso. To make it worse, we never received spoons for the yogurt and on the second day we were missing a yogurt for the other person. They really shouldn't be in the edit program advertising this as a benefit when it's included in your stay no matter what and it's a worse contential breakfast than a motel chain. They gave me a half hearted excuse that they get repeat customers all the time and this was simply a new menu but judging by the opening times of the restaurant this is actually a cost savings measure. Still the stay overall was wonderful outside the breakfast and the pillows. The location is especially good.

  There are beautiful hotels, and then there are places that leave you with a feeling. Liora Estate was one of those places for us. General Manager Heike Pacchetti deserves special recognition. She took the time to listen, talk with us, and make sure we genuinely felt cared for. No request ever seemed like too much, and the personal attention she gave us made our stay feel truly special. We also had the opportunity to experience Maréla, Liora’s new restaurant, which had only recently opened. It added another wonderful dimension to our stay and made the experience even more memorable. Beautiful surroundings are easy to appreciate, but what stays with you is how people make you feel. That’s what Heike and the team at Liora gave us. We left feeling like we’d found a place we’d genuinely like to return to. Jasi & Bill

  What a wonderful birthday weekend! We were greeted with wine and champagne in our room and loved meeting other guests during their wine hour. Breakfast in our room was a nice way to start the day, then head out to browse shops, enjoy wine tasting in the square lots of restaurant options for dinner!

  When I checked in with a big smiles and welcoming from front desk person. Room is very big with a big jacuzzi bathtub that is 10 out of 10 Evenings turned down Servies supper starts. In rooms breakfast served every morning base on your time choice. That’s plus They’ve offered valets parking that’s supper easy. Thanks to a wonderful staycation. We definitely will be back.

  Overall our stay at Liora Estate was relaxing, wonderful, and provided a premium experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated with cozy beds, plush robes, a record player, and some nice touches like turn down chocolates. It is clear that effort and thought went into ensuring guests feel a high end vibe here. However, a few elements of our trip were disappointing and to us demonstrated the high level service may be surface level on some areas. When unpacking we found an old (and gross) nail clipping travel kit of the previous guest. We then later attempted to call to the front desk and the phone doesn’t work. I then went to use the jacuzzi tub (which is highly promoted in their menu) only for the power system to be fully unconnected and broken. Room reset also lacked some finishing touches I’d expect at such a hotel (removing used glass wear, neatly rehanging robes, etc.). It is a shame as this hotel has such potential to provide an absolutely seamless experience but we unfortunately found quite a few holes in our stay. Overall I would still stay here again and staff did help try to accommodate some of the above challenges, but recommend level setting expectations for your experience.
