LOVE this hotel. Literally the perfect stop in between San Francisco and Lake Tahoe. As somebody who was new to the area and a little tired from traveling, I found the Courtyard to be not only the most comfortable place to stay but also a good center point for exploring the Sierra Nevada mountains. Bailee, who is very well educated in the local nature spots of Sierra Nevada mountains, was super awesome and helpful, her positive vibe was infectious and made my family feel like we were at home here. She is the best. And It’s really nice when the hotel staff is genuine and honest. I have traveled from London to Paris to Buenos Aries to Rio de Janeiro…. the customer service here is amazing. I wish every hotel had the staff that worked here. This hotel has a family vibe. Here you are treated like a human, not another number like some of these other hotels. Again… the customer service, quality of stay and hotel pool and hotel breakfast were 10/10 my only complaint was that I couldn’t stay longer.

We checked in and the room smelled like Indian food, because the last guests left their takeout in the microwave and fridge and it wasn't cleaned out. There was a dirty rag on the bed, and the room under us was smoking cigarettes in room that are supposed to be non smoking so it smelled awful for the first few hours of our stay. We had one roll of toilet paper for a 3 day weekend, and room service never came to our room during our stay. The wifi doesn't work at all and it's a cell phone dead spot.

I enjoyed my weekend getaway at Grass Valley Courtyard Suites. The room was lovely and spacious, the staff was helpful & kind, and I got to decompress. They had amazing breakfast and a nice evening wine down.
