Lots of homeless in the area, although they seemed to stay out of the actual hotel area. Would have expected a much nicer hotel for $200. Run down. Comfortable bed. Cleanliness just okay. Holes in the shower repaired with sloppy putty. Shower products empty. Only decaf coffee in my room. Wouldn't go barefoot on the carpet. Bed sheets were clean. Internet and TV worked great. Pool area was nice. Guests are loud, lots of slamming doors and paper thin walls, every flush of the toilet sounded to be in the same room as me. All that said, it was the most reasonably priced hotel that isn't an actual crack house (I'm looking at you Holiday Lodge). I stay in motels in this area often but this was the first time I stayed here and I probably won't stay here again. It's worth the extra fifty bucks to stay in the Miners Inn or Courtyard Suites.
I stayed in Room 137, and when I returned one evening and opened the door, there was a huge cockroach in the room. I had also read previous reviews mentioning damp carpets, and unfortunately I experienced that too. I walked across the carpet in my socks, and my feet ended up wet.
I reported the issue to the front desk and was moved to Room 107. Unfortunately, that same night, after using the restroom, I found two more cockroaches in the new room. Despite multiple pest issues, the only compensation offered was two bottles of water.
At that point, I canceled the remainder of my week-long stay and checked into the Northern Queen instead, where I had a much better experience.
The most disappointing part was the follow-up. General Manager Emil contacted me and said he was going to reimburse me for the experience, but after that, I never heard from him again. My calls were not returned, and no reimbursement was ever provided.
I understand that hotels can occasionally have maintenance or pest issues, but how they're handled makes all the difference. In this case, both the condition of the rooms and the lack of follow-through from management left me extremely disappointed.
I’ve stayed here multiple times clean place clean area. Breakfast comes out on time or a little early in the mornings which is nice especially if you have to be to work by six very convenient. I would stay here anytime.
Old Hotel needs to be upgraded
But seemed like Best in the area hence we stayed there
Some staff was nice some was really rude

Pls public health agency needs to shut this place down. Stinky bathrooms with clogged drains, dirty rugs that smell like feet, and super unsafe for families. Hot tub broken but would not have gone in anyway. Bus stop across the street attracts an unsavory crowd. This place scared my kid so we checked out. And to top it off…the key system does not work which suck at 11pm when you want to get in your room and the nice front desk person is kindly helping another guest get in their room.
