  Checked into this hotel and went to find that the room hadn’t been cleaned: trash in trashcan, beds unmade, dirty towels on floor. They sorted it out and sent us to a new room. In that room, the shampoo was empty, body wash empty, no Kleenex, laundry room out of order, Wifi channel non-existent, hot tub closed. Next morning, no place to sit and eat breakfast because the room was so small and full of people even though a second sitting room right beside it was closed.

  The 2 bed suit was great for the 4 of us. Only gave this a 4 star because the breakfast was okay. Wasnt looking for anything fancy but there was ants in my cereal on the last day. This hotel was a good half way point for the activies we had planned around the area. But nothing to do in town. Food places were very slim pickings.

  Found pubic hair in the tub as I was filling it up for my daughter to use, they don’t clean between guests. Also a shirtless aggravated man with a bow (as in bow and arrow) was stalking all over the parking lot and lobby intimidating guests. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

  The pool and the spa were not working . I booked the room thinking the family would be able to use the amenities. I was not warned in advance that there were issues. The rooms are expensive for this area. I was expecting more from the hotel at least what I paid for..We are travelling a lot this summer I will be cautious when I pick out hotels for the rest of the year. Best western needs to check on their hotels more, the photos made the hotel loo i=better in photos than in person

  The staff at the Best Western Humboldt House in Garberville absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the moment we arrived, every employee we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay enjoyable. The front desk staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to answer questions and help with anything we needed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping everything spotless, and the entire property felt well cared for and inviting. What really stood out was the attitude of the staff. In a world where great customer service seems harder and harder to find, this team delivered it effortlessly. They made us feel like valued guests rather than just another room number. They even checked in with us to let us know the status of an important package we had shipped to the hotel and provided an additional room key knowing we had a 3rd guest without us having to ask. If you’re staying in the Garberville area, I highly recommend the Best Western Humboldt House. The beautiful location is a bonus, but it’s the outstanding staff that truly makes this place special. Thank you all for making our stay such a memorable one!
