Truly gorgeous hotel grounds and rooms. Beautiful. I loved it there. However, service was so disorganized that I don't know if I'd go back:
* They offered me a digital tip option instead of leaving cash in the room. Then they forgot to bill me, then when I reminded them billed me the wrong amount. I doubt housekeeping is getting the money at this point!
* I had to proactively call/email to get my confirmation email and then again for my final receipt. Why wasn't it sent automatically? When I checked out they told me I'd be emailed and I wasn't.
* I placed a lunch order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. I checked in at 30min and they said oops we forgot your order. Then at 45min I had to go back to ask again and the food was sitting out but not delivered. I had to ask front desk for help to get my food. The dining room was empty, I couldn't even find staff.
It's a shame because I really LOVED the stay itself but I don't like needing to hunt down correct billing. Other hotels in the area are much better organized.

Came to this hotel specifically because of the reviews and pictures of the hotel that looked beautiful. Unfortunately, didn't deliver on that - the rooms are fine, not great and definitely not 5-star. The room we had is close to the front of the hotel (apparently an upgrade) and the road noise is freeway-loud - assuming its less loud towards the back but definitely not relaxing to be there. The people are very nice but service is not the expertise - feels more like people "trying their best", not a 5-star run team. For example - we pulled up, the valet told us to park our car + forgot to get our luggage - once we got to the front desk, there was a lot of confusion in check in + IT issues with processing payment etc. If you are looking for something more of a bnb, this is fine but would not come here if you are expecting 5-star service and quality.

Just lovely! This place is full of those “small touches” that make one’s stay extra special. Heidi greeted us upon check-in and we ended up chatting with her for a bit as she poured us glasses of wine and told us about the property. She encouraged us to grab some complimentary bath goodies (body scrub, bubble bath, bath salts, soaps) in the lobby before heading to our room. Our room was amazing and had a bottle of wine and some cookies waiting for us. The bathroom featured a huge soaking tub and heated marble floors (wow!). Even though it was pretty late we ventured out to the fire pits to roast some s’mores and sit around the fire. It was a bit chilly so I appreciated the extra blankets available. Our bellhop mentioned the pool/jacuzzi are open 24/7 which I thought was super cool! Very easy system for room-service which we did for breakfast and it was delicious. Highly recommend this adorable place for your next stay!

Small 25 suite/room in that provides casual and luxury for a unique experience. Service is exceptional. Rooms/suites are large and private with cozy outdoor spaces. The on-site restaurant is excellent as well. Afternoon happy hours and evening smores by the firepits, along with homemade cookies delivered to your room at night are nice special touches. They do everything right here - we would definitely go back!

5 stars would be too generous but 4 stars isnt quite enough. Wish we could give it a 4.5, because that's what it really is! For the price point and delivery, have to be totally honest that it doesnt meet a true 5 star (very close though!!)
We spent a weekend away at Farmhouse Inn, and what we'll remember most is the sense of peace. It's only 25 rooms, so even on a night when the parking lot was full, the grounds, the patios, the public spaces, all felt like ours. We picked fresh lemon balm and mint from the garden and made tea with lemons we plucked off the tree. That is the kind of thing you remember weeks later. The 5 PM wine tasting and 7 PM s'mores by the fire are the kind of daily rituals that turn a stay into a memory rather than a check-in.
Sense of place is the real strength here. The landscaping is beautiful, the floral and art moments throughout the public areas feel considered, the property and common areas feel calm and warm, and the staff are friendly in a way that reads as real rather than scripted.
The bathroom in our room was a highlight: excellent water pressure, a proper bathtub and steam shower, well-thought-out fixtures. The in-room coffee setup is a real signal of intent (Nespresso, organic teas, real honey, all the sweeteners, compostable pods). WiFi was reliable everywhere. Pre-arrival room prep was thorough. Also, some of the best slippers we've ever had at a property!
A few honest notes that kept this from being a perfect five stars:
The welcome was almost there. Lemons, lavender, and dried apricots were set out beautifully when we arrived, but no one at check-in said "please help yourself, this is for you." We weren't sure if it was decorative or generous. A small note or a single verbal touch would have changed the moment from ambiguous to special.
Our "private cottage" turned out to share a wall with the neighboring unit. The exterior approach and the way it is marketed both imply detachment, but the construction is not. We could clearly hear our neighbors' normal-volume conversation. If privacy is part of why you are booking, ask in writing about the specific cottage layout before reserving.
The wellness barn is a beautiful space, but functionally just a massage room. For a property at this tier and with this farm-to-table wellness positioning, it is genuinely surprising they do not offer group yoga or Pilates classes as a standard at least five days a week. Privates only feels like a real miss for the kind of guest this property attracts. Plus, it would cost them about 2-3 nights of a guest's stay to simply add an infrared sauna. Just odd that it's not there.
The gym is 2 Tonal machines and 2 Peloton bikes that don't work, with a rack of weights stuffed behind it all and no room to use them (no mirrors either). An attempt but... off. But, we didn't come here to workout...hiking the Redwoods nearby was where we got our movement!
The restaurant itself is a little mid; the food is good quality but not an insane selection and the design of the interior is a total mismatch to the property itself. It's not ugly, it's just not... the relaxing villa feel you get from the rest of the property. It's dark, dreary, and kind of feels like a fancy Chili's design wise (not food quality wise though; it's definitely good quality food)
Net: a true 4.5 stars, and a true 5 stars worth of feeling like yourself again. We loved it and would return
