I was driving from Berkeley to L.A. with my 3 pets, one of whom is a mastiff breed. I had left at 1pm on a hot day and 2.5 hours into the 5.5 hour drive, my air conditioner died. In 96 degree weather, my mastiff clearly wasn't going to make it the rest of the trip. The Apricot Inn was at the next exit. With a heavily panting dog in the car, I explained the issue and a need for a room for us to cool off. Jessica helped me and got us pet friendly room where all us were able to cool off until the sun set. I paid for a full night and I had to pay a pet fee, but it was worth it. The room was clean, the AC worked, and the bed was comfortable. There are a handful of places nearby to get food and gas. The hotel is close to Highway 5, making for easier access.

Room was clean and smelled fine. The hotel is in a nice location just off the I-5. Unlike other places you might stop on the road, this one's a little pricier, but you get what you pay for. There were other amenities in the area, such as fast food, Little Caesars Pizza, gas, etc, but there weren't a lot of people hanging out in the area like there sometimes are around the roadside motels. I felt safe staying here with my 83-year-old mother. It's also pet friendly for those who are traveling with fur babies. The price was more than we wanted to pay, but it's worth it to feel comfortable and safe. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean. There was a microwave and a mini fridge. No bugs. The complimentary breakfast was nice. If you don't want eggs and breakfast meats, there were plenty of pastries and all of the condiments. Overall, a very good experience.

Small rooms. OK maintenance. Motel is right of the interstate, easy to get to, but you can get road noise all night long. We needed a place to stay over night and it worked.

After a 6 hour drive with a young toddler we picked this best western because I have always trusted their rooms would be comfortable for an over night stay. An hour after we fell asleep in was waken by an alarm going off 4 times, I was so exhausted I honestly just went back to sleep bwcause it stopped. 2 hour later it went off AGAIN, this time I jumped up and figure out it was the CO2 detector, I decided to open the windows (which had no screen) and try and fall back asleep even tho it was just me and my 3 children (13,9 and 3). I spent about 30 minutes googling about CO2 detectors and possible CO2 exposure symptoms. When I talked myself down that it was probably a faulty alarm I finally fell back asleep only to be woken by the alarm AGAIN. I left my sleeping children in the room to walk down to the office to explain what was happening to the alarm. I spoke with Irisha and she told me its hardwired in and that several other alarms might be going off also. I told her id be back when the sun was up to speak to a manager. In the morning I asked my neighbor if his alarm went off at all and he said no, so it was only my alarm. Thankfully Sharon the manager refunded my money for the night and I left in a hurry instead of hanging out by the pool like we planned. Also, the floor near the bathroom entrance was wet all night long and felt squishy, my guess is mold being covered in hopes Noone would notice. Please be careful with this hotel.. honestly the worst experience I have ever had and we stay in hotels every other month. Only positive, the staff was nice and understanding.
