  TLDR; Don't stay Here, find a better property. We had booked 4 Nights here to finish our 20 day road trip from DC to San Francisco. After driving all day from Eureka, my wife, our two children, and I arrived at approximately 10:40 PM, exhausted and looking forward to checking into the hotel we had booked. Instead, we were informed that the hotel was full and that we had been “walked” to your sister property, the Hilton across the road. This was extremely disappointing, particularly as I am an IHG Platinum Elite member and had confirmed reservations. These reservations were intentionally split to provide some flexibility during our road trip, and at no point did I expect this would result in my room not being honoured. Unfortunately, the replacement accommodation fell well below the standard of the Staybridge Suites. The room was tired, shabby, and has an unpleasant smell. It was simply not comparable to the suite that I booked and paid for. To make matters worse, the Hilton’s swimming pool was out of order. One of the main reasons we chose Staybridge Suites was so our children could enjoy the pool after spending hours in the car. Having to explain to two disappointed children late at night that they could not go swimming was incredibly frustrating. I later found out that it had been shut by environmental health due to poor sanity conditions! The disruption also affected our plans for the next day as we were required to check out of the Hilton by 12:00 PM but could not check into Staybridge Suites until 4:00 PM. This left my family with four hours in the middle of the day with nowhere to rest, despite having booked continuous accommodation. This experience has been unacceptable. As a Platinum Elite member, I expected my reservation to be honoured or, at the very least, to receive accommodation of an equivalent standard without disrupting my family’s stay. We eventually had a room cleaned in the Staybridge and checked in at around 12:30. We were promised extra points and a 15% discount for our stay, we have yet to receive either and im sick of chasing IHG. The Staybridge suites its self looked tired and sparse, looked like it was not looked after. The room also looked tired and had extremely noisy AC. The aircon vent in te room was covered by what looked like black mould, the door frames and shuts were rusty, there were holes in the black out curtains, there was a net curtain missing, Fixings were hanging off the walls, the door had gouges out of it, the tap in the bathroom was constantly running, there were stains on the bed, there was a knife in the draw with mouldy food on it, The headboard was dirty and full of handprints, There was no plug in the basin. The Corridor smelt really strongly of Cannabis, which made the kids ask what the funny smell was. At breakfast we had to supply our own Orange Juice as the machine was broken. The Ice machine was also absent from the hotel. When the kids went to use the pool they were met with a murky mess that looked dirty, i informed the reception worker and was me with a distant look and a generic 'maintenance will look at it on Monday' with no concern of the state of the water people will be entering. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the Pool and Jacuzzi, but that was also 'Out of order'. At no time during booking was i made aware of the facilities being unavailable. I also found out the the Hotel opposite, the Hilton, were also using the properties pool as theirs had been closed down. The whole place felt like the management didn't care for the upkeep of the place, its far the worst experience and stay ive had in a IHG Property!

  I stayed here for three nights in room 100. The hotel is in a good location, within a couple miles of restaurants/stores and not too far from Napa, the breakfast was decent and the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately my brother stayed one night in room 312 and had several issues. The a/c didn't work though a fan was included that was quite noisy. He wanted to use the indoor pool but it was unheated so he passed and the hot tub was out of service. We sat outside in the garden area but they didn't have cushions so they were uncomfortable. Either there was no ice machine or it wasn't working so you had to ask the front desk, which they provided. I would give them a 5 star since I just slept and showered here, while my brother would give them a 1 star since he wanted to utilize everything they offered. I would definitely stay here again; he would not :)

  Rating again because my original review got taken down for some reason. To give less detail so it isn’t removed again: the staff is a mixed bag. Lots of nice support staff but management is rude and escalatory. Diamond elite member here who has stayed at tons of the properties in the greater area - this was definitely the worst experience of them all.

  By far the worst hotel I have been in.. Was locked out 5 different times.. missed family dinner.. jacuzzi was not working, the kiddos were too cold to swim.. Ice machine was not working, and my t.v. wasn't working either .. Though they were able to make it work eventually (t.v) I missed out on my evening plans... Lastly, my cards didn't work on the outside doors..so I had to walk all around the vicinity at night and only end up at the front entrance.. I was not a happy camper!! Too much inconvenience...

  I was torn writting this review.First day at the hotel was not a good experience with customer service.The t v wasn't working, and it was a continued issue through the hotel, but we were not giving good customer service when it came to the response to it the situation. We stayed there 9 days.Things got better.I will say the young man at the front desk in the evening gives great customer service.He rides a motorcycle.I couldn't remember his name.
