Sadly this property doesn't live up to the Four Seasons name. 3/5 for a Top Tier hotel brand and 4/5 compared to mid tier hotels. The lobby is beautiful - especially at night. Great decor and lighting choices in particular. The front desk agent followed all the appropriate steps (describing amenities, walking me to the lift, answering questions) but seemed to just be going through the motions. She never smiled, and seemed annoyed when I asked her how to find the bar. The bar staff were cold and when I asked which dishes were the smallest (not much of an appetite) the employee I was speaking to scoffed and said "maybe just tell me what you're thinking of - it's too hard to say." Rooms are fine. They are exceptionally clean and things are placed in a thoughtful manner. But the room and furniture doesn't seem to have been updated since the early 2000s. Old school look and feel. Light switches at jiggle a bit. Shower head that had no pressure and no hot water (only room temp max). Service training and room renovation would go a long way.

I have been stayed in a few four seasons hotels. The Rodeo Drive and East Palo Alto were the best ones. The staff was super friendly. They treated all customers like VVVIPs. The restaurants in both locations were so good. TBH, I was not surprised the Rodeo Drive one was good, but I would give lots of credits to the team in East Palo Alto. My wife and I always take any excusee to go there for staycation even we live in the Silicon Valley. BTW, the Four Seasons hotels.are super super pet friendly.

The highlight of my Four Seasons stay was the fitness center. I especially enjoyed the smart fitness machine. it was such a fun and unique way to work out while traveling. I always appreciate a hotel that makes it easy to stay active while still feeling relaxed and taken care of.

Noise from highway and construction too much to get a good nights rest. Our room was not the branded “quiet room space” that Four Seasons markets. (Photo of steamroller out my window) They offered me ear plugs at the front desk.

We’re visiting Stanford University, so we thought we would treat ourselves to a stay at the Four Seasons. The staff is very friendly and they were extremely helpful, but the room (which we “upgraded”) was less than stellar and not what I would expect from a “5 star hotel”. The hallway has an odor that smells similar to raw sewage and the room looks outdated, small, and felt less relaxing. We met a guest on the elevator who happens to be an employee at another Four Seasons Hotel in a different city-she remarked this hotel is definitely not on the same level as the one she works at. I should have followed my gut and stayed at another hotel…it felt more like Two Seasons.
