  Clean rooms, friendly staff. However, the identical breakfast-available at every other holiday inn/express (Or Hyatt, or Marriott) is free. In this case, it was 18.00. A lady did pour our coffee and clear our plates, but it was the same food, the same buffet service as you would find at every other hotel in this chain. 18.00? Really?

  Clean, modern, comfortable beds, large tv (in torch mode). Darkness curtain leaks around the edges. Hard lvt floor. Decent decor. Stayed with points while passing through, would do so again. Convenient to 580.

  Liked the room. Clean. Nice having a coffee maker, blow dryer. The heat/ air worked nice. Big tv!! One matter. The bathtub floor was very slippery when showering. Had to hang on with my toes!! A small non slip mat left beside the tub to use if needed, or not would be good.

  Disappointing Execution and Poor Oversight – Far Short of IHG Standards My wife and I booked a stay at the Holiday Inn Dublin-Pleasanton from July 31 to August 3 as a trial run. We are establishing a seasonal routine in Northern California and intended to make this property our regular weekend "home nest" through early December. Unfortunately, due to avoidable logistical oversight and poor food quality, this experience fell far short of our expectations. Prior to arrival, I explicitly requested a 3rd-floor room on a quieter wing of the property (within the rooms 56–98 range) to ensure a quiet and secure environment. Instead, we were placed on the 1st floor in a highly busy, high-traffic section of the hotel. The property was hosting several Little League tournament players, coaches, and parents. Placing a guest who explicitly requested a quiet, top-floor room directly underneath these groups entirely defeated the purpose of our request. From midnight until 12:40 AM, children directly above us were loudly stomping and jumping. I had to contact the front desk to get security dispatched, meaning our night was completely disrupted by a situation that proper room placement could have entirely avoided. The kids were loud throughout the stay and severely lacked appropriate supervision. The food service was equally inconsistent. We included the breakfast buffet package to test it for our upcoming multi-month arrangements. Out of our 4-day stay, the breakfast was good for 2 days. However, on the other 2 days, the food was completely cold. When I brought this to the attention of the attendant, she claimed it was due to the AC vents directly above the food line. When asked if the burners underneath were even turned on, she didn't know, promised to check with the kitchen, and never returned to our table. Cold buffet items make for a very bad meal experience. While the front desk staff did acknowledge the issues and moved us to the 3rd floor for our remaining nights, it was still not on the quieter wing we originally negotiated. As a retired law enforcement officer, safety, peace, and reliable service are incredibly important to me. Management needs to significantly improve their guest placement strategy when quiet-zone requests are made and address the breakfast heating issues if they want to retain long-term, loyal guests.
