  This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at - the staff is friendly and accommodating especially Barbara and Benito who always check me in and make sure is ready. If you are looking for a different kind of experience- treat yourself to this wonderful boutique hotel on the ocean!!!

  Tuesday at 11 AM we gather for our Delmar caravan. Some of the best agents and vendors show up to pitch their properties and support our real estate business. Real estate about relationships and networking to better serve our clients. We are grateful for hotel indigo’s meeting room for Delmar caravan. The location is amazing and so is the staff that serves us. Thank you, Hotel indigo for making our day!

  Hotel and rooms were nice but expected something little nicer for the price. Walk down to the beach is over 600yards and 160ft elevation drop best to wear shoes. Happy hour was good, Santana was our bar tender had a great time with the guy, they had live music on Saturday night. Bars/restaurants are a good 3/4 mile walk but pretty flat walk. Would stay here again if it was a little better on the price

  As an IHG Diamond Elite member who has enjoyed pleasant stays at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar in the past, I returned with high expectations for a four-night family trip. Unfortunately, this visit was plagued by a relentless series of service, billing, and hygiene failures. Based on this awful experience, I strongly advise others to look elsewhere. We requested an early check-in, which I completely understand is subject to availability. However, when the official 4:00 PM check-in time arrived, our room was still not ready. We were finally granted access at 4:30 PM, only to walk in and find a housekeeper still cleaning the room. Shortly after settling in, I made a genuinely repulsive discovery: someone else’s toenail clippings were left on the floor next to the bed. I immediately brought this to a manager’s attention. While I was assured that the rest of our stay would be flawless, this promise fell spectacularly short. For the entirety of our three-night stay, our room was never cleaned. Housekeeping consistently attempted to service our room at 4:30 PM—an entirely impractical time for a family traveling with a young child. Furthermore, the property's basic amenities were poorly managed. Nearly every time we visited the swimming pool, it was entirely devoid of towels, forcing us to make repeated treks to reception just to request basic necessities. The frustrations continued well past our departure. Upon checkout, I summarized our disappointing experience to the receptionist, Barbara, who assured me she would waive the parking charges as a gesture of goodwill. This was not done. I returned to the property in person the following day and was told the refund would process in a few days. A week later, having received nothing, I called the hotel and spoke to Barbara again. She cited an "issue on their end" and emailed me an invoice showing a pending refund of approximately $67. Five days have passed since that email, and the funds are still missing from my account. To add insult to injury, my IHG reward points and elite night credits never posted automatically. I had to spend additional time contacting IHG corporate directly to have my account manually updated. A hotel of this tier should deliver a seamless, clean, and relaxing experience. Instead, this stay was a masterclass in poor management, unfulfilled promises, and dreadful hygiene. Whatever standards were previously upheld at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar have clearly vanished. My advice: avoid this property entirely.

  We did not have a good experience at this Hotel Indigo. First, our reservation was changed from a king bed to two queens without our knowledge. Staff initially tried to cover, blaming this on a confusing website and saying I must have accidentally booked a room with two queen beds. After verifying my initial confirmation showed a standard king, I asked why someone changed my reservation and explained that my wife and I did not want to be in an “upgraded” room with a patio and smaller beds. We were moved into a standard king room which smelled musty and the AC didn’t work. There was no way to increase the speed of the ceiling fan (confirmed by a staff member), so we were given an industrial floor fan to make the room comfortable enough to sleep. The room does look nice and the staff seemed to be working with what they had, but this was a very poor experience for the cost.
