My check-in process was fairly swift and seamless. I arrived around 3:00 p.m. and there were a few guests ahead of me, but Kevin at the front desk was very efficient and attentive. He acknowledged guests as they arrived, kept the process moving, and was polite and courteous throughout the check-in process, so no one felt like they were simply standing around waiting.
When it was my turn, Kevin acknowledged me as a Platinum member and was friendly, engaging, and welcoming. I had booked the room fairly last minute and was able to get a good rate, which was an added bonus.
The room was generally clean and in good condition. I only noticed one towel with a stain on it; otherwise, the bathroom was clean and everything was in order. The only real issue I had with the room was the air conditioning. The unit seemed to operate on a timer, turning on and off periodically, which made it difficult to maintain a consistent temperature. At times the room felt too warm, and at other times it became too cold. I noticed that the window could be opened, but because the outdoor temperature was quite hot, that wasn't really a practical alternative.
The television remote was a little confusing at first because of the way the channels were set up, but once I figured it out, I was able to use it without any problems.
The hotel provides parking passes, and while the parking area in front of the hotel can get fairly full, I was able to find parking in the back at night. There is also an entrance in the back, which was convenient. One observation I had was that I did not see any security presence or roving patrols in the rear parking area. Given the hotel's location, additional security attention in that area might be something worth considering, particularly during evening hours.
The hotel also offers breakfast. I didn't personally partake because the breakfast area was already quite full by the time I was up, but from what I observed, the area appeared to be clean. Based on the number of guests using the property, I would recommend getting to breakfast relatively early if you want to avoid the crowds.
The location is one of the hotel's strong points. It is conveniently located right off the freeway, with a Starbucks and a gas station next door. There is also plenty of shopping and dining nearby (less than 2 miles away), including Walmart, Dollar Tree, Jamaican food, El Pollo Loco, and several other restaurants. So, if you are passing through the area, you have plenty of convenient options without having to travel far.
The housekeeping staff was also friendly and accommodating. I requested a couple of extra towels, and they were provided without any issue.
I also want to mention one final interaction that stood out to me. I had to call the hotel back after my stay and spoke with another young man whose name I unfortunately didn't catch. He was remarkably pleasant and helpful. It's those small interactions that remind you that there are genuinely good people working in the hospitality industry, and they can make a difference in the overall experience of a property.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I think it is particularly well suited for someone who needs a clean, convenient, reasonably priced place to stay for a night while passing through the area. I don't know enough about the hotel's proximity to major attractions to say whether I would choose it for a longer vacation stay, but for an overnight stop or short stay, I think it is an excellent choice.
Overall, I had a good experience and would stay here again.
