  We paid $350 to stay here on a Friday night. We barely slept due to the very loud road noise from 101. Our room in the back was about 40 feet from southbound 101. Also, the people in the room above us arrived after 2 am and it was very loud and squeaky as they walked around. Then “housekeeping” knocked on our door at 9:30 in the morning. We won’t be staying here again.

  How can anyone call this a 4 star hotel?? The photos on their website and even yelp are either heavily edited or outdated taken when the place first opened. The photos give it a picturesque vibe and while the courtyard is a nice space, however the umbrellas are all faded in color from the sun. The pool and jacuzzi are gross. It looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. I was here for (2) nights in room 254. I liked that I was next to the staircase and near my car. This room is the closest to the exterior staircase and also near the pool. No one cleaned (made the bed, emptied trash, provided more towels, etc) my room during day 1. The vent in the bathroom doesn't work. I showered and the mirror was all steamy. The light switch near the door has two switches. I couldn't figure out what one was for. Around 930pm (Sunday 10/4) last night the hotel lost power. The only lights on were some in the hallway. The wifi went out around 930pm last night and was out a full day. This is probably the most annoying part. I needed to get work done and no wifi here made that challenging. I see a lot of work trucks in the parking lot. I wonder if this is like a commuter hotel or even popular with folks in construction. Its right off the freeway so thats easy. A short drive away and you'll hit the beach and their downtown area that has some shops and places to eat. The onsite restaurant is NOT open for lunch. The hours for breakfast and dinner are very specific. The menu is on the smaller or limited side. Check- in was fairly easy. The gal that checked me in was kind. I was given two bottles of water at check-in. The AC unit works fantastic in here! I would not call this place affordable and is not worth what I paid for. I wish I had more positive things to say about my stay and the property. I did not have to pay to park here so thats a plus. There is also a cute koi pond at the entrance.

  Have been coming here for years. Never been disappointed. Rooms are beautiful, clean with all the amenities. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I will always stay at the Best Western when I travel cause I trust them to take good care of me!! Thank you!

  This is a terrific hotel if you’re used to living on a freeway on-ramp. I was given a third floor room and told it was “quiet”. I can see cars and trucks passing my window. The rooms are very average. The bathrooms are empty Formica. The internet does not work and the “fantastic” staff don’t know anything. I want a refund. I won’t get one, but still.

  I choose my hotels for the mattress. This hotel boasted pillow top mattresses. Yeah, I guess you could consider this a pillow top, if the pillow was 40 years old and lying on top of a rock. The desk chair looks like something they found discarded at the curb with a sign that said “Free” attached to it. So, apparently this place is old and not kept up very well. The desk staff is very friendly and recommended an excellent restaurant. Two stars is being generous. For the price I expected better.
