Very disappointing check-in experience. Traveling with young kids is already challenging, and the hotel showed zero flexibility or consideration for an early check-in, keeping us waiting until the very last minute. A resort catered specifically to families should understand how difficult it is to manage tired kids without access to a room. Expected much better customer service and hospitality for the price.

The Legoland hotel, unfortunately, is a bit dated. Starting with the outside and the faded colors. We wanted to stay at the castle bc we knew it was newer but unfortunately it was booked up. The good: the Lego pit and play areas in the lobby are great for kids to play and feel excited about. Kids loved the themed rooms and having the bunk beds. Having activities and the treasure hunt. You can go to both hotel play areas and entertainment. The bad: understaffed so the rooms weren't ready at 4pm. Some interesting musty smells coming from the hallways. Needs some better upkeep as there are marks on the walls. the cabinets and things are all chipped. The central a/c isn't strong so they had to have a attached window unit with a bad tape job as well. These are very disappointing given the $600 pricetag. For that price I'd expect much better upkeep. If it were a $200 dollar room I wouldn't expect so much. The window look like they haven't been cleaned from the outside in a really long time. Fridge is all dented. Carpets look nasty too. This was the adventure rooms side. Breakfast food was nothing special. Overall we would not go back to the hotel and would recommend others to stay at the partner hotels which also have direct access for a bit of a walk. Disappointed and hope they put a little more maintenance and upkeep for the hotel.

This is a late review, as I stayed at the hotel on July 16, 2026, while celebrating my son’s fifth birthday. After spending a long day at the park, all my son wanted to do was enjoy the hotel pool. We arrived around 4:30 PM, exhausted and ready to relax. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. When we attempted to check in using the kiosk, it wouldn’t allow us to complete the process. After waiting about 30 minutes to speak with someone, a LEGOLAND employee informed us that our room wasn’t ready because they had several staff call-offs that day and were running behind. To pass the time, we watched the pirate show in the lobby, my son played with the LEGO stations, and we walked around the hotel. Around 6:30 PM, I went back to ask for another update. Finally, at approximately 6:45 PM, we were told our room was ready. By that point, we had to rush to change so my son could enjoy the pool before it closed. Instead of having the relaxing afternoon we had planned, we only had about an hour to swim, and by then the weather had cooled off. It was disappointing because the pool was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel. While at the pool, we ordered drinks and French fries. We were told that we would receive a meal credit because of the lengthy delay in getting our room. We were also told that our parking would be complimentary due to the inconvenience. However, after returning home and reviewing our credit card statement, we discovered that we had been charged for both the pool food and the parking. When we finally got to our room, we discovered there were no washcloths, so we had to use the small hand towels to wash up. The water pressure in the shower was extremely weak, and the bathtub was clogged. I chose not to complain because the room itself was nicely themed and my son absolutely loved it, which made the experience worthwhile for him. What really left a bad impression, though, was that at 10:57 AM, housekeeping knocked on our door reminding us that checkout was at 11:00 AM and asking to clean the room. Considering we weren’t even able to check into our room until nearly 6:45 PM, it felt insensitive. We lost more than two hours of the stay we paid for, yet there was no flexibility or accommodation at checkout. Overall, this experience was disappointing. While my son had an amazing time and loved the hotel, the adults in our group felt that our time simply wasn’t valued. Delayed check-in, unfulfilled promises of compensation, room maintenance issues, and the rushed checkout experience overshadowed what should have been a memorable birthday celebration. I’m honestly torn about whether I would stay here again. If you’re staying solely for your children, they’ll probably have a wonderful time. But from a customer service standpoint, I expected much better especially when compensation was promised and ultimately never honored.

So this is the second time we use this hotel only because my daughter loves LEGOLAND , we paid almost $800.00 for just 1 night, valet parking no one available from 11pm are you kidding me for $800 a night there should be at least 2 people no one at the front desk , only the people cleaning the hotel, but they are a third party company so I didn't even bother, they are doing their job , 25 min I came back to check finally someone came out to provide my car keys , they can't charge the car if it's electric they said are you kidding me that I need to do it my self, I don't understand why we need to use a computer to check in and people just standing there in whe we came in the system didn't even provide the room key , the rooms are so small for what I paid for showers so basic nothing fancy at least more space would have been nice double for $800 1 night no door for the single bed you wake not the only thing I like was the breakfast such a bad experience, getting way better service at other hotels and paid half or less for 1 night , just because my daughter ask for this I use the hotel other wise will never do and recommend to anyone. Also the hallway having a bad smell like trash cans near by totally bad experience s , and the POOL they closed at 8pm are you kidding me SMH this place needs to do better

The LEGOLAND Hotel is what you’d get if someone took an aging roadside motel, slapped LEGO decorations on every wall, turned the lobby into a nonstop kids’ dance party, and called it a luxury family resort. The entire place feels worn out. The paint is chipped, decorations are tattered, and everything looks like it’s been loved by millions of kids without much effort to restore it. The rooms never actually feel clean. The carpet seems to have a permanent layer of grime—after walking around barefoot for a few minutes, our feet and socks were noticeably dirty. Sleep? Forget it. Between the dance party echoing through the hotel, kids running the hallways, and the paper-thin walls and ceilings, the noise continued until around 11 p.m. Then it all started again before 6 a.m. If you’re hoping for a relaxing vacation after a day at the park, this isn’t it. The bathroom amenities somehow make things even worse. The shampoo and conditioner left our hair feeling rougher than before we got in the shower, and they even use hand soap as the body wash. It’s little cost-cutting decisions like that which add up and make the whole experience feel cheap. The “free” breakfast isn’t worth getting excited about. Restaurant reservations appear to mean very little—we watched the line without reservations move faster than the reservation line. Then, after finally getting seated, we were treated to one of the most disappointing hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had. Calling it “free” is about the nicest thing that can be said. Customer service has also been replaced by technology that nobody asked for. Need help? Instead of picking up a phone, you have to text a “Genie” because they’ve removed phones from the rooms and hallways. Even checking in felt impersonal. Rather than a traditional front desk staffed by experienced employees, we were directed toward self-service kiosks with minimal assistance available. For the premium price they charge, this hotel delivers a budget motel experience wrapped in LEGO branding. Save your money and stay at a nearby hotel—you’ll almost certainly get a cleaner room, a better night’s sleep, and a much better value.
