  A lot of ants in our bathroom when we checked in. They were booked full and couldn’t get us a new room til the next day, so they sent house cleaning to clean it up which worked for about 15 minutes. My wife woke up with an ant crawling on her in the bed. Staff got us into a new room eventually (after we had to leave our original room a few hours before they expected the new room to be empty) but staff was generally pretty dismissive. All in all it just left a bad taste in my mouth. Also there was no curtain or other divider to the kids room like there is at the castle hotel, but they don’t show that in pictures. I asked if we could get moved to another room or even the other hotel but no dice. Buffet is under renovations so they didn’t have juice or ice at breakfast. Everything is just kinda worn out and shabby; l don’t expect a kids hotel to be pristine but it’s definitely in disrepair in considering how much it costs. The public spaces are messy too, there’s constantly something spilled in the elevators. Don’t know what’s going on but they’re not maintaining it the way they do the castle hotel, both in terms of actual maintenance and also hygienically. We were excited to check it out after the experiences we’ve had at the castle but unfortunately this one was just an all around negative experience with the hotel. The park was great, but at this point if we came back and the castle was unavailable, I would rather stay at a nearby hotel off property and lose out on being on site, even if I had to pay the same premium.

  The staff was hands down helpful and very kind. They don't reflect the condition of the hotel at all. The facility on the other hand was a disappointment. The carpet looks dingy and stained. The AC in our room was an old portable unit that connects to the window that had moisture build up and didn't reach to the kids bunk bed area and the kids were hot at night. Not to mention the loud muttering sound it made every time it kicked in. You could see areas on the wall where the paint is chipping. And the decor just looks dated and underwhelming. Thru the park there was no AC in any of the gift shops or eating areas. It was a 90° day!! We will not be returning.

  We really enjoyed our stay at the LEGOLAND Hotel. We stayed in an Adventure-themed room, which was a lot of fun for the girls, and we appreciated the complimentary juice and water provided each day. The biggest highlight of our stay was the dance party. The girls absolutely loved it, and it was one of those experiences that made the hotel feel like more than just a place to sleep. Breakfast was also good, and even though there was a line one morning, we only had to wait briefly. The music in the elevator was also so much fun. Each time the elevator moved, it would play music and all the kids would dance. For a hotel where probably 99% of the adults are staying with kids, I was impressed with how clean the property was overall. One interaction during breakfast also stood out to me. An angry guest berated one of the female breakfast attendants and repeatedly dropped F-bombs while doing so. The employee did a great job maintaining her composure. What impressed me even more was the response from the breakfast manager. She called security, checked on the employee, and stood up for her. I always appreciate seeing businesses where managers give their employees the benefit of the doubt and show compassion toward them, especially in a situation where the guest was clearly in the wrong. That kind of leadership says a lot about a business. My only real suggestion would be to make the parking instructions clearer. I wasn’t sure whether I needed a parking pass or how I would be charged. There is some small print on the barrier pass, but clearer instructions would have saved me from having to track down an employee to figure it out. Overall, this is a great place to stay if you’re traveling with young kids. The hotel itself is part of the experience, and our family had a great time. We’ll definitely be back.

  Pros: easy access to the park. It’s literally connected to the park. The scavenger hunt to start the stay was awesome. Loved all the legos available for our kids to play with within the room and in the lobbies. Bed and pillows were comfy. The kids bunk beds were a hit and the tv just for the kids was fun too. The city theme is the way to go. The complimentary juice boxes and water bottles in the room were very nice and our boys loved that. Cons: the floors in the room were gross. The soaps and shampoos were awful citrus scented with citric acid in them for both kids and adults. Their hand soap was the same as their body soap. That’s all you need to know about the soaps…yikes. Pools were a bit dated, and the main one didn’t have a hot tub. The breakfast had reservations but we still had to wait a half an hour. Pointless reservations. Food was buffet food. Parking at $40 each night was expensive.

  The castle itself is amazing. And the rooms look amazing but our room location suckedwas horrible. We stayed here when it first opened years ago and then again with our son just recently. The service could be a lot better though. And used to be. Never really greeted so we had to interrupt the two guys chatting to have them check us in. He did so and handed me a key. I asked if there was anything else I needed to know because they usually tell you about breakfast or activities and such. He just shook his head and said no. I said "OK well like when is breakfast and such?" so he told me the times and that was it. Because I had stayed here years ago I knew there was the in room treasure box for the lego hunt. But he said nothing so I figured when we got to the room there would be something about it. There was nothing. Saw the safe but nothing about a hunt. So I didn't say anything to my son in case they didn't do that anymore. When we went to get stuff from the car, we asked the same guys. He said yah there still is. And I said how do we get information on that. And he finally told us we have to scan a little qr code on the back of our hotel key for all the hotel info. Something he should have told us at check in. The pools close kind of early so that was disappointing. They also weren't running the sprayers. Was jsyt kind of boring. The hotel was not very booked that day but somehow we get put in a room with a crappy view of the loading zone of the aquarium. Fine, not a big deal. Until it was a big deal around midnight when trucks starting unloading huge plastic bin forklifts banging the bins, trucks beeping. It was so irritating. We were up a lot. I took pics. Same thing at 6am. My husband complained and they did offer 20% off our room rate (so $50) or 3x tickets to come back to Legoland. We opted for that but still haven't received them in our email so we shall see. Skip to breakfast where they decided to have everyone from both the Legoland hotel and the Castle hotel all at the little buffet in our Castle hotel. It was packed and a mess. We did the reservation but I don't think it even mattered. These employees were also done with the day and it had just started. We were too due to lack of sleep. It just want a great experience. A few changes and better service would definitely make it where we would want to come back. Like they should put guests on the courtyard side or even parking lot side when not fully booked. Or offer cheap rooms on the loading side and make sure that is OK with the guests be placed there. There were tons of empty rooms we could have been in instead. And please train your staff on customer service. I get they are young but they need to learn this. Oh but let me say, DO eat dinner at the Castles restaurant. It was amazing and the best part. The staff there was actually really nice for dinner. So not a totally bad experience at the Castle hotel but definitely needs some work.
