  Check in was very easy and fast. The deposit is 50 a day I believe. Parking was free. My room was very clean. Bed sheets were clean. Bed is comfortable

  First off the management at this property is very unprofessional. I had a billing issue after a stay. The hotel tried billing me over two weeks after my stay. Due to the timing and how they tried to run the charge, the bank flagged this a fraud and locked out the card. From this error the management locked out my IHG account. When I reached out, I was told they tried getting a hold of me (email/call). Well my email and call logs show this was a lie and no one from this property tried reaching out. To go to that extreme over $40 is laughable and not even reaching out shows incompetents and a lack of professionalism. Also being locked out from leaving a review directly on IHG, show they know it was a screwup. Only brights spot was the desk staff were nice. Rooms were just blah. Food was not good and the wait staff seemed overwhelmed with just two tables. This was a start of a great family vacation, just sad they tainted it with this BS over $40 and made me go thru hoops to find out why my account was locked when I had no word from the property.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Carlsbad – San Diego. From check-in, Liliana made us feel welcomed with her friendly, hospitable service and set the tone for a great visit. The staff throughout the hotel were consistently helpful and welcoming. We were in town for my son’s soccer tournament, and with so many busy schedules involved, the team kept everything running smoothly. The food from Stratus was excellent as well. We enjoyed breakfast there every day, and dinner was just as good. Thank you to Liliana and the entire Holiday Inn Carlsbad – San Diego team for making our stay such a pleasant experience.

  The Ac unit was noisy. I call front desk for repair. A tech Mark came in 2 minutes to check. He left and in less than 10 minutes he came back with Todd Winter (Front office manager) With a brand new AC unit. They changed it immediately. Thank YOU

  Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bartender seemed overwhelmed and was complaining about what she had to do. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy. My only concern was the courtyard... Absolutely filthy. Plants dying, trees and plants overgrown and weeds in the planter areas. Filthy area just outside of the lobby. Buy a blower and a pressure washer! Have someone clean the windows around the pool! Hire someone who knows how to take care of the courtyard!
