  We didn't stay at the hotel. We played golf as a family (2 adults and 2 junior golfers), and it was an amazing day. The staff, the course, and everything related to our visit was amazing.

  Some places give you a room. Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara gives you your nervous system back. Whenever life becomes stressful, or Blueberry and I simply need a peaceful weekend away, this is where we come to reset. It is close enough to feel effortless, yet the moment we arrive, it feels as though we have quietly escaped to another world. The property is surrounded by rolling green hills, beautiful gardens, the Aviara Golf Course, and peaceful views of Batiquitos Lagoon. Everything feels calm, private, and cared for. There is no noise, no rush, and no pressure to do anything. Even my phone seems to understand that it should behave differently here. Blueberry, my black Goldendoodle, recognizes the entrance immediately. Her posture changes. She begins walking with the confidence of someone returning to a property she personally owns. Four Seasons calls her a guest. Blueberry considers herself a resident with voting rights. The residences are spacious, bright, and exceptionally comfortable, with private balconies or patios, fireplaces, beautiful living areas, kitchens, and everything needed to feel at home. The difference is that home does not normally include twice daily housekeeping, in villa dining, and a staff that remembers what you need before you do. This place truly has everything. There are two beautiful heated pools, three whirlpools, peaceful lounge areas, outdoor firepits, fitness centres, yoga and wellness classes, tennis, pickleball, lagoon paths, and Driftwood Spa. The spa is serene and deeply relaxing, with thoughtful treatments, a steam room, fitness centre, and beautiful relaxation lounge. You walk in carrying the entire week on your shoulders and walk out moving so slowly that people may wonder whether you are still awake. Dining, however, is where Blueberry really comes alive. She loves the restaurants and orders steak every time. Well done. That is how she prefers it, and she is not currently accepting culinary criticism. At this point, I believe the reservation is made for her and I am simply present to provide transportation and settle the bill. Seasons Restaurant is filled with natural light and has the relaxed elegance that Four Seasons does so well. The food is fresh, locally inspired, and beautifully prepared. The Barista Bar is perfect in the morning, Palmera and Summits make poolside dining effortless, and in villa dining is available when putting on real shoes feels like an unreasonable request. Blueberry takes her steak well done and her hospitality five star. After dinner, she conducts a complete inspection of the grounds, visits the dog park, studies the landscaping, greets the staff, and returns to the residence exhausted from doing absolutely no actual work. The property even offers pet menu options, which only confirms her belief that Four Seasons has finally recognized her importance. What truly makes this place exceptional is the service. Four Seasons does not simply provide luxury. It creates the feeling of being genuinely cared for. The staff members are gracious, thoughtful, and consistently kind. Nothing feels rehearsed or forced. They remember the little things, welcome Blueberry with real warmth, and make every visit feel personal. That is why we keep coming back. For Blueberry and me, Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara is more than somewhere we stay. It is our peaceful corner of Carlsbad. It is where we go to breathe more deeply, sleep better, laugh more, eat well, walk slowly, and remember that life can still feel soft, beautiful, and magical. Some places impress you once. The truly special ones restore you every time. This is our reset button, our weekend refuge, and one of our happiest places. Five stars from me and five deeply relaxed, slightly spoiled, steak powered, very fluffy paws from Blueberry. 🐾

  This property is beautiful and well managed. It's got everything a Four Seasons resort offers, plus way more. Individual villas, beautiful pool areas, lots of amenities. All nestled into a mountain side overlooking the water in North San Diego/Carlsbad CA

  This is a great residence hotel. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. The pool is saltwater, which is refreshing, especially if you are sensitive to chlorine. The Gas Lamp District in San Diego is about 30 minutes away and there are several great beaches to visit. I highly recommend staying here.
