I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this hotel. I booked my stay through the Disneyland app, as I usually purchase vacation packages that include both hotel accommodations and park tickets. While I acknowledge that I should have reviewed the room details more carefully, the listing showed a standard-view room with a photo of two beds, which led me to believe that was the room I had reserved. Upon checking in and entering my room, I was shocked to find an extremely small space with only one actual bed and what was described as a second "bed" that folded down from the wall. In reality, it was an uncomfortable sofa-style Murphy bed with a thin mattress on a hard wooden and metal frame. I paid over $2,000 for a three-night stay, yet the room was so cramped that once the wall bed was opened, there was barely enough space to walk. We had to rearrange the furniture and partially block the entrance just to set up the bed. As soon as I realized the room was not what I expected, I attempted to call the customer service number listed on my Disneyland reservation, but it was closed. I then contacted the hotel's front desk from the room phone and was told that rooms are assigned based on the booked view rather than the number of beds. I found this policy unreasonable, especially considering the amount I paid. My 13-year-old daughter and I were expected to spend three nights in a cramped room where one of us had to sleep on an uncomfortable pull-down sofa bed. The front desk representative said there was nothing he could do because room assignments were based on availability within the reserved room category. He also informed me that since I had already entered the room, they could neither refund my stay nor move me to another room. I then went to the front desk hoping to speak with a manager, but no manager ever came to speak with me. Instead, another front desk employee repeated the same information. She explained that because I booked through the Disneyland app, any cancellation or refund would have to be handled through Disney. The only alternative offered was to wait until the following day and pay an additional $500 for an upgraded room—on top of the more than $2,000 I had already spent. Overall, this experience completely overshadowed what was supposed to be a special trip. For the price I paid, I expected a comfortable room with adequate sleeping arrangements for two people. Instead, I felt trapped in a room that was overcrowded, uncomfortable, and not representative of the expectations created by the booking photos. I left feeling disappointed by both the accommodations and the lack of meaningful customer service.

While slightly remote by Disneyland standards, you’re still practically sleeping in the castle compared to the commute from even the closest DVC to any park in Florida! The array of room types makes waitlisting a challenge, but once you’re in it’s great, with spacious rooms, wide hallways, and theming that varies by floor. Make sure to check your closet for some extra magic!
