A Bittersweet Goodbye 💔🏨
This review is honestly bittersweet because I’ve been staying at the Stanford Inn since 2017. For nearly nine years, this hotel has been a staple for our family every time we visit Disneyland. Our kids grew up knowing this was our Disney hotel, and that makes this experience especially hard to write about.
When we first started staying here, the rooms were exceptional. The little Disney touches made such a difference—Disney stickers on the walls, Mickey Mouse comforters on the bunk beds, and details that made the room feel warm, inviting, and truly put you in the Disney spirit before you even got to the parks. ❤️🏰
Unfortunately, over the years, we’ve watched the hotel slowly decline, and this most recent stay was by far our most disappointing.
Housekeeping did not come to our room during our stay, even though we specifically requested it. We ran out of toilet paper and actually had to hunt down a housekeeper ourselves just to get more. We also requested fresh towels and did not receive them. The towels that were provided were extremely worn and honestly looked like they had seen better days. I didn’t even feel comfortable using them on my face.
The biggest issue, however, was the air conditioning. Our room was extremely humid and muggy, and the AC simply wasn’t working properly. When we asked about switching rooms, there didn’t seem to be much effort to find a solution. We were essentially told that they couldn’t guarantee the AC would work in another room either. After a long day at Disneyland, coming back to an uncomfortable, humid room was incredibly frustrating.
I understand that things happen and that hotels experience wear and tear, but after staying here for nearly nine consecutive years, the difference is heartbreaking. This place used to feel like part of our Disneyland tradition. ❤️
Sadly, I don’t think we’ll be staying here next year. That’s not something I ever thought I’d say, because this hotel has been a part of our family’s memories for so long.
I truly hope management takes the time to address these issues and brings back the cleanliness, comfort, attention to detail, and Disney magic that originally made us choose this hotel year after year. ✨🏰💔

Street racing ALLLLLLLL NIGHT LOOONG!!! I’m here for 4 night. This is the 3rd night in a row of not sleeping. Not the hotels fault granted but holy hell. It’s constant and the walls/doors are so thin even with the AC on it’s unbearable.
The breakfast is also a true continental breakfast really subpar. The photos make it look good but it’s not. Will never stay in Harbor blvd again.
I will say the rooms are clean. They smell of disinfectant but that’s better than being unsanitary.
The staff is so nice. It’s unfortunate the street racing is out of control.
