The new update is so corny and makes no sense to the original ride. I saw it and it immediately changed the atmosphere of the ride I used to once love as a kid. It looks like a goofy cartoon with weird goofy sounds. The imagineers need to stop “fixing” things that are not broken! This was one of the best rides in the park. LAME UPDATE

One of my absolute favorite attractions at Disneyland is Pirates of the Caribbean. No matter how many times I visit the parks, this ride is always at the top of my must-do list. From the moment you step into the queue, you’re transported into a completely different world. The atmosphere is incredible, and once you board the boat, it’s easy to forget you’re in the middle of a busy theme park. Of course, one of the best parts is the iconic “Pirates smell” that every Disney fan knows and loves. There’s just something nostalgic about that fresh, slightly musty water scent that instantly brings back childhood memories and makes the experience feel even more magical. It’s one of those little details that makes this attraction so special. The boat ride itself is relaxing while still being packed with excitement. You drift through dark caves, pass skeletons guarding hidden treasure, and sail into lively pirate towns filled with incredible animatronics, music, and special effects. The famous cannon battle, burning village, and Captain Jack Sparrow appearances make every scene fun to watch, even after countless rides. There are a couple of small drops that add just enough excitement without making the ride too intense, making it perfect for almost all ages. The attention to detail throughout the attraction is simply amazing. Every scene feels alive, and it’s easy to notice something new each time you ride. Whether you’re escaping the afternoon heat, looking for a relaxing break, or simply wanting to experience one of Disneyland’s most iconic attractions, Pirates of the Caribbean is always worth the wait. It’s a timeless classic that perfectly captures the magic, storytelling, and immersive experience Disney is known for.

Stop making changes to the ride. The new animatronic is awful. They keep dumbing down the ride with all the changes

Pirates of the Caribbean has been a classic Disney attraction for years and certainly one of my favorites in the park. It's like getting drawn into the pirate world and its stories. It was also one of the last attractions personally overseen by Walt Disney. Unfortunately, he passed away before it finally opened in March 1967. This attraction has seen many changes over the years, whether welcomed or criticized. It's still loved by many. When you first board, you start slowly, going through the calm bayou river. You pass by the Blue Bayou restaurant with the sounds of the Bayou and people enjoying a meal. Once you take a couple of drops, you are transported to the Isla Tesoro, where you'll see scenes of the dead pirates and treasures. You'll then see yourself out of the taverns and into the living pirate scenes with Barbosa, Captain Jack Sparrow, and more! Many of the classic animatronics are still working, and some characters and effects have been updated over the years. Overall, it's still a great attraction to experience, whether it's your first time or one hundredth. You also can't beat the familiar smells and the cool air conditioning in the "evening" atmosphere.
