You can just spend a day here. Shopping, restaurants, and make sure you check out the hotel lobbies. There is a lot to see.
I highly recommend Trader Sams. A meal on the terrace or a drink in the bar is always a good time.

This is a great place to go after you visit the parks and a must add to your Disney trip. Lots of great food, and the Disney stores have pretty much everything as well. The whole place is absolutely gorgeous, and it’s right next to the hotels as well. My only problem is that that the downtown Disney district opens at 7am, but the actual stores and restaurants open at 9am. What am I supposed to do for like 2 hours if I get there early? That’s my only problem but I highly recommend visiting.

Balleast Pub was able to accommodate my gluten and dairy allergy!
Gf bun on a hamburger patty with pastrami for the win. Friendly service, easy seating. No fry option due to a shared fryer.
Easily enough time was spent here just shopping/eating.
Quick walk into either park from this location.

Went on a Saturday about 9PM which I would advise against because there was an endless sea of people leaving the parks and shopping on the way out so it was extremely difficult simply to walk let alone see what is available for purchase or consumption, of course prices are high, but that's to be expected. One really cool thing is if you download the Disneyland app you can pick up an item in the store scan and purchase it without going to the cash register. And then when you're leaving out the door they scan it to see if you paid for it or not. That saved a bunch of time waiting in the very long cashier line, another great thing is that they have rows and rows of electric car chargers in the downtown Disney parking lot that are slow 6 or 7 KW chargepoint chargers cost something in the '40s per kilowatt hour, also, you have to remember to bring your parking ticket with you to get it validated at $10 otherwise you're going to spend 300% more for parking depending on how long you stay. Been there many times and I would go back but not very often. I hadn't seen it in over 5 years this last time. And they keep building more hotels and just adding and growing. 😁 Although do have one negative criticism as I can't understand why people would bring a stroller to a place like this to me it would be traumatic for the child way too much stimulation and chaos, 😯
I am writing to report an upsetting experience I had with one of the employees at the entrance.
The worker was extremely rude, dismissive, and disrespectful toward me and my family regarding my diabetes medical device. She repeatedly instructed me to remove the medical device from my pocket. I calmly explained multiple times—at least four to eight times—that I could not disconnect or remove the wires because they are connected to my diabetes medical device and are necessary for my health and safety.
Despite my repeated explanations, she continued to argue with me and treated me as though she was not listening to what I was saying. The interaction lasted for several minutes and became increasingly frustrating. After about five minutes, she finally asked another employee to assist with the situation.
I was disappointed that I had to repeatedly explain a medical condition and the purpose of my diabetes device before someone else stepped in. I felt embarrassed, disrespected, and unfairly treated. Employees who interact with the public should have a basic understanding that some medical devices cannot simply be removed or disconnected, and they should treat individuals with medical conditions with patience, professionalism, and respect.
I hope this incident is reviewed and that additional training is provided so that no one else with a medical condition has to experience the same treatment that my family and I did.
