Staff was great! Common areas could use more attention but overall our room was good. Beds are hard especially the pullout couch but we brought mattress toppers after reading other reviews thank goodness we did it made all the difference

This place is very bad. When we arrived there it took 10 minutes for us to get the key for our room, and when we went in the room, it smelled extremely bad and the pullout couch was a twin bed instead of a queen bed, we had to go downstairs to get an extra cot . After we slept and woke up, we went downstairs to have breakfast, and a woman kept staring at us eating food and made us feel uncomfortable. When we came back that evening, the key wouldn’t work and we had to go back downstairs to get a new one. When we went inside, we expected a clean room with new sheets but when we went inside it looked the exact same

We were very pleased to get a room here last minute for our family of 5. I was happy with the queen room with sofa bed. The breakfast was loved by everyone and had a ton of options. I liked it opened at 6:30 am too. We were able to eat and get going early. Staff was friendly and helpful. They had plenty of luggage carts. Elevator is a bit slow and the pool was broken, but over all we had a great stay.

Oh, this poor Holiday Inn Express. I originally had a reservation at the La Quinta next door, which is brand new. Unfortunately, their elevator was out of service and no 1st floor rooms were available, which is a non-starter for my poor hip. So I came next door and was able to book a first floor room, which I appreciated. The good ended there, however. The carpets are worn and stained in the hallway. The vinyl headboard surface is flaking. The television had cable tv only, no streaming options. The AC control pad didn't work and it was freezing, so I unplugged it. The bathroom tub grout was very stained. The staff in the afternoon was wearing sweats and slouching about while on their phones. IHG, this hotel needs help and I'm guessing it's a franchisee. It's the same price point at the La Quinta next door. Generally, I've had very good luck with IHG hotels but not this time. Ugh.

I've stayed at Holiday Inn Express properties many times over the years, and this stay was the worst experience I've had with this brand, bar none.
Let's start with the room. We booked based on the listing stating the room sleeps 6. What we got was a pullout couch with a twin mattress. A twin. For a room that supposedly accommodates six people. I don't know how Holiday Inn's math works, but it doesn't work for families. And that twin pullout? You could feel the springs through the mattress with the lightest touch. I have photos.
Both queen headboards were in embarrassing condition, with large chunks of faux leather peeling off all over them. Again, I have photos. This is not normal wear and tear. This is a room that has not been maintained and should not be rented to paying guests.
But the real low point was one particular staff member. I don't use the word "awful" lightly. This person was rude, dismissive, and completely indifferent to our concerns. No attempt to help, no apology, no accountability. It was stunning.
I've given Holiday Inn the benefit of the doubt for years. Not anymore. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere that actually delivers what it promises.
