Some of the hotel team members could not care less about the guests. Front office team could easily be replaced with robots. They would be more efficient, and probably more nice. Robots can be programmed to be nice, people not. Their nature needs to be nice. The only person worth mentioning is Julio from the breakfast restaurant. He is polite, professional, he is LISTENING to your needs.
Location is great, room not. Outdated, no usb ports available, noisy from different electric appliances.
Should you have another option, choose that.

Had a great stay after visiting the Grand Canyon. Incredibly close to the park entrance. The hotel seemed recently updated. Beautiful lobby with convenient gift shop, restaurant (Derek our server at the restaurant was wonderful!) and large pool/outdoor area. The room was also very clean and spacious with modern TV and furniture. Would recommend if staying in the area

The room was comfortable but dated, loved that the property had 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. A lovely fireplace near the bar, good, well stocked gift and snack shop. Parking was a bit difficult at times. Staff was great.

Terrible, slow service. We booked a king bed online (have the email proof) and at check in were told that it was a general reservation and a king was not guaranteed. We ended up with 2 “queens.” Never have we ever had that happen. We checked in online assuming that would speed up the process then told that actually wasn’t a check in. Our room wasn’t ready so we asked to store bags, they lost the bag room key so we waited a bit for that too, slowing us down getting into the park. All other experiences were slow, no urgency, we get to you eventually. If you’re short on time, do not book this hotel. Stay on park property.

Booked 2 rooms and was granted preference to be upper floor and next to each other. Hotel rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for a 3 night stay. Breakfast nook, mini fridge, microwave, and extra sink by coffee station in premium double queen. Coffee in lobby 24/7 or in room. Modern bathroom and shower, water pressure so-so. Floors quiet at night.
Restaurants in area and in hotel, all same: adequate quality and over priced.
But location to park was the benefit.
Pools and hot tubs clean, and lots of little areas to hang out and for kids to enjoy. Staff working hard to please.
Hotel clientele mostly seniors and families. Holiday Inn didn't disappoint.
