We stayed at Enchantment for 3 nights and overall a very much below average stay. First the positive - their location, right at the Boynton canyon is really good with very convenient hikes to the canyon and kachina vortex. The room had a queen size bed (its been a few decades since I have stayed in a luxury property where the bed for a couple was queen/small). Also this was not a real bed - but a murphy bed - with no headboard to rest against - and overall, very uncomfortable for 2 people to sleep on - perhaps ok in a motel, but when you are paying $1200+ per night, this is not what you expect. We did have a nice view of the canyon from our room though. We at at all three of their restaurants - The food and service at Che Ah Chi was good, Tii Gavo was barely average (excellent views though), and finally Hummingbird, their signature restaurant was a complete let down in terms of food and service. The service at the morning breakfast (we had 3 breakfasts there, all at Che Ah Chi) ranged for attentive/good to the waitress completely messing up our order and bringing my food almost 15 mins after my wife was done eating. We signed up for a few classes, and they were all average to below average - with the one exception of a Culinary/Cooking demo by Chef Dana and Chef Glen - they were both really fun and engaging and deserve 5 stars. My wife went to their Miiamo spa for a massage - and while they claim to be a world-famous spa, they did not have a plunge-pool at the spa. The rest of the facilities were clean and nice and the massage itself was fine - but nothing that you would not find at a decent Marriott/Hilton or similar hotels. This was probably a luxury property/room maybe a decade ago, but at this point it is living on past glory. If we ever go back to Sedona, we will hunt for a different property - and not stay here again.

Charges like a resort but doesn’t even have hot water for shower, and system lacks ownership. At 10:30pm I filled the tub with hot water (initially was hot) and when it’s done I realized the water was merely room temp. I thought maybe it’ll feel better when I get in. Nope it was really room temp. I then tried the shower and it was the same. I called guest service and they said they’ll send an engineer. After 15 mins I called again because no one came, and they said they’ll check with the engineering team. Five minutes later they called back and said the engineer checked and everything is fine just wait for hot water to come back. Well if everything was working before why was the water cold, and how do I know I wouldn’t lose hot water in the middle of the shower now? They said they don’t know and that’s what the engineer said. I asked multiple times to talk to the manager and finally get to them. Then the manager said it was because the tank got drained earlier and they were sorry that I didn’t have hot water at 11pm, but wait 20 more minutes and I should have hot water. To be clear the people I talked to were all nice, but there’s a clear lack of ownership in the system. First guest service told me the engineer said it’s fine and refused to comment more. When I got to the manager they also didn’t have any power to promise any kind of compensation other than returning the $70 resort fee. (They said they’ll reach out to the reservation team to return “a certain percentage” of the room rate, because I booked through Chase) I asked who can promise this will be taken care of and the manager said they can only promise that they’ll reach out to the reservation team. Any reasonable hotel or motel would have helped me use another room. This is the most ridiculous system I’ve seen at any hotel or “resort”. *Update for the full story: Maybe I just had bad luck, the next morning I ordered breakfast on the tablet in the room, after 40 mins I called them and they said they didn’t have my order, and that happens sometimes to the tablet orders. They took my order, delivered it quickly, and took care of the charge of the breakfast. When I went to check out the front desk told me the manager from last night had proposed a 30% off to the reservation team for the room and that’s their offer. I said “30% for not having hot water?” The front desk said “for not having hot water” firmly. I was confused because the manager last night refused to promise any percentage because that’s out of their control, and said they’d do their best to make this right, but they actually proposed 30%. I thought OK maybe they think of their property highly and hot water and service are only worth 30% of the room rate. That’s different from where I’m from and where I’ve been to, but I’ve given up on escalation at this point. When I was ready to leave another manager Luis came and offered to waive all the charges. Luis seemed to be the only person who cared about service and I appreciated that.

Very dated rooms ,the bathroom was old , not enough counter space , no air conditioning or heating vents in the bedroom , broken sliding glass doors adjacent to the ground level . Off beat inconvenient location , very overpriced for what you get . Nice staff people . Ewing was great. Fitness and Spa Center is 4.5 stars. Possibly 5 stars Otherwise avoid this Brady Bunch hotel. My advice . Stay somewhere else, and use the Spa and Fitness Center at Enchancement . The Spa is by far the best part of the hotel. They should get the designer who built the Spa to renovate the hotel.

We had an amazing time at Enchantment. Apart from the setting, which is incredible, two things stood out: (1) the staff and (2) the Trail House. From the moment we arrived on the property, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We never walked or drove past a member of the Enchantment team without a wave and/or hello. It created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The Trail House was also a highlight. We booked several excursions with them and every single one exceeded our expectations. The team has deep and meaningful experience in whatever it is they are leading - whether it be Grand Canyon hikes, mountain biking...and everything in between. We always knew we were in good hands. And when we decided to strike out on our own, they gave us interesting and appropriate ideas for our hikes. We are really REALLY glad we decided to stay at Enchantment which afforded such easy access to this incredible resource. Other thoughts… The resort is nestled in Boynton Canyon which provides a beautiful backdrop, a quiet respite from busy downtown, and very easy access to some great trails. The resort is definitely family-friendly. Lots of activities - lawn games, ping pong, pickleball, pool, air hockey, etc. Having access to laundry machines (and associated supplies) was so helpful. We underestimated how gross our clothes would be post-hikes (esp with the red dust) so ended up doing several loads. Would’ve cost us a small fortune to keep sending out our laundry (tho they do offer a laundry service if you don’t want to spend your vacation doing chores). Also appreciated the easy access to filtered-water and ice machines.

Our stay at Enchantment Resort was an unforgettable experience for my family. The natural surroundings are breathtaking, and the service provided by the staff was truly exceptional. That being said, there were a few areas that didn't quite meet our expectations given the price point. We found the food at the onsite restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) to be a bit underwhelming. Additionally, the room felt somewhat small and lacked a modern, polished feel. We also encountered a technical issue: the in-room tablet, which is supposed to be used for ordering room service, was broken throughout our stay. On a positive note, I really appreciated that the staff promptly brought a microwave to our room upon request—that was a big help! Overall, we had a lovely time, but I believe there is room for improvement in the dining and room amenities to truly match the world-class location.
