Stunning Scenery, but Service and Amenities Fall Short of the Price Tag There is no denying that the location is breathtaking. Nestled deep within Boynton Canyon, the red rock views surrounding Enchantment Resort are genuinely awe-inspiring, and the clarity for stargazing at night is absolute perfection. Unfortunately, the luxury experience promised by the setting stops at the scenery. For the steep cost per night, the overall execution of the resort leaves a lot to be desired. Arrival & Service: First impressions matter, and the welcome here was non-existent. Upon entering the resort, I wasn’t greeted or made to feel welcome at all. Instead, the front desk interaction was cold and transactional, kicked off immediately with a blunt, "Do you have your ID and credit card?" Accommodations: The rooms are in serious need of an update. Given the high price point, I expected a modern, well-appointed interior that matched the upscale nature of the landscape, but the rooms felt dated and tired. Amenities & Pool Access: The pool situation severely diminishes the resort experience. If the main pool (open 24 hours) is packed and there are no chairs available, you are essentially out of luck. The alternative pools are much smaller, significantly less nice, and completely lack food and drink service. Being forced away from the primary amenity means you miss out on the full resort experience you’re paying for. Dining: The food was both expensive and, honestly, not good. For a resort of this caliber, culinary offerings should be a highlight, but it missed the mark entirely on quality and value. Housekeeping: housekeeping didn’t come until 4pm one day. After a long day outside in the sun the last thing I want to think about is if my room is clean, and for the cost per night, frankly I shouldn’t have to! The Verdict: While waking up to the red rocks and enjoying the incredible dark-sky stargazing was a memorable highlight, the lackluster service, dated rooms, and poor amenities make it hard to justify returning at this price point.

Beautiful place - really special in the most incredible location. The setting is breathtaking and everyone so helpful and friendly. We did a half day mountain biking guided tour (none of us can mountain bike!) which was the best experience ever; our youngest wasn’t able to make the full circuit to a van was arranged to collect her and she was looked after in to artists cottage and had “one of the best mornings of her life”! It all surpassed our expectations at every turn and we just wished we lived closer so we could come back sooner!

Josh and Cole at the Trail House were super helpful! Discussed lots of trail options in detail with me, helped me get a map set up on my phone, dialed in the perfect bike, and had a cold gatorade ready for me when I returned. If you're in Sedona area and want to ride, visit these guys!

We checked in to the Enchantment Resort earlier today and we are off to a rough start. We have stayed at the resort at least 3-4 times with family members, and have always booked Casita King rooms. I was shocked to see the size of the room we were allocated this visit. It is about half the size of every other room we’ve seen or stayed in. I didn’t even know they had rooms this small. We are clearly in the smaller bedroom of the suite adjacent to ours with the adjoining door locked. When we asked if we could switch rooms (offering to pay more) we were told the resort was full. Apparently this was just our misfortune in getting this room. I was planning to host a dinner here to introduce family members to the resort with an eye to future vacations, but I don’t want to do that now. To be fair, the staff seem to be doing all they can to find a better room but without success. The most discouraging thing is I wouldn’t know how to prevent this in the future. I don’t know what algorithm randomly assigned us to an uncomfortable room but I don’t like it. This is a day later - we did end up checking out early but I am increasing my rating to 5 stars due to the excellence of the staff. They understood we were unhappy with the room and did everything they could to move us. They were very generous and kind with our departure and we left with a good feeling. I would especially like to thank the manager, Luis Felix, who was exceptionally sensitive and thoughtful. We will absolutely return, but just be more careful with our room choice.

We were very disappointed with our stay at Enchantment Resort, especially considering the premium price. Before arriving, we called multiple times to request a complimentary room upgrade through our Chase benefit. We were repeatedly told nothing was available, even though upgraded rooms continued to appear available online. At the 4:00 p.m. check-in time, our room still wasn’t ready, and we waited an additional 30–45 minutes with our toddler. The biggest disappointment was the undisclosed construction. We weren’t informed that our area of the resort was under renovation, yet it affected our entire stay. The laundry room and ice machine closest to our room were inaccessible, requiring a long drive or golf cart ride to the next available ones. Even then, the ice machine barely produced enough ice to fill a bucket. Parking was also difficult due to construction vehicles and golf carts throughout the property. When I tried calling the front desk after discovering the laundry facilities weren’t working because the water had been shut off, my calls kept getting transferred for nearly an hour. Thankfully, Lauren, one of the managers, happened to drive by and personally helped me get to another laundry room. She was wonderful and one of the few highlights of our stay. The pool area was also disappointing. Poolside service ended around 5:00 p.m., and when we visited around 6:00 p.m., dirty glasses and empty drinkware were still scattered around the pool deck and tables. The resort’s solution to several inconveniences was drink vouchers, which weren’t useful since I don’t drink alcohol. Sedona was absolutely beautiful, and we loved exploring the area. Unfortunately, Enchantment Resort did not deliver the luxury experience its prices promise. Greater transparency about the extensive construction and better attention to guest service would have made a significant difference.
