  I always stay here when I’m in Phoenix. The rooms are clean, the staff is awesome and a good quick breakfast to get on our way. The ride into the airport is a breeze. A great place to stay and see the Botanical Gardens. Thanks for another stay.

  I traveled to Scottsdale, AZ. with my elderly father and aunt for a funeral. We chose this Holiday Inn Express because of great reviews, the convenient location, and the complimentary breakfast. Despite being under renovation (which we were made aware of when we booked), we were all impressed with our two night stay at this hotel. First of all, the location is very convenient and easy to access. We were warmly greeted by front desk staff when we arrived, offered delicious cookies, lemonade, complimentary bottles of cold water, and the lobby has a 24 hour coffee machine. The first two floors were still under renovation, however the 3rd floor was completely renovated and beautifully decorated. We never encountered any construction noise or issues during our stay. The hallway lights are modern and dim giving off a nice, quiet ambiance. Our rooms were spacious and very clean with Dove brand amenities. The beds and bedding were brand new and very comfortable. The AC unit was easy to adjust and could be set on auto or continuous fan which we prefer. The complimentary breakfast area was very clean and well stocked—lots of choices—oatmeal, cereal, cinnamon rolls, breads/bagels/muffins, cheese omelets, hard boiled eggs, breakfast potatoes, yogurt, fruit, and fruit juices along with the 24 hour coffee machines. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable with nice views of the courtyard and outdoor pool. I believe this hotel is also pet friendly. We also received a terrific nightly rate-not sure if it’s always this affordable or just during the renovation, but it was a great value. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Scottsdale.

  Although undergoing renovations, everything is clean and all that noticeable is a wing that is partitioned off. As always a pleasant stay with breakfast included, as it was not our first stay at a Holiday Inn Express. So we knew what to expect and this location did not disappoint.

  We were placed here by Holiday Inn Club Vacations and learned upon arrival that this hotel is under construction. Let's start with the good: staff is very friendly and breakfast is great. The always available freshly brewed coffee is nice. The room was a disaster: no way to secure the door, a half installed shower and A/C, lots of sticky construction residue in shower and on bathroom floor. No hooks in bathroom, etc ... And then the water got shut off for most of the day. Between HICV and IHG they gave us the runaround who could improve this terrible experience. In the end Alexia, the assistant manager, worked hard to help us but we left a day early as the room was not safe or inhabitable.

  You get what you pay for. I'm a Platinum Elite IHG member and this property is a dumpster fire. Under construction and so many issues they require you to sign an acknowledgement as to the issues to minimize complaints and claims. Could be great but it's crappy. Pool open one day of my stay but closed inexplicably "to maintain healthy standards". In other words, it's unsafe. Pay a decent price for a decent property and skip this one.
