Nice place on the beach. Room 523 very nice. Be aware that the hotel will drop a $37.00 amenities tax on your credit card at the last minute. I called the hotel for a reservation and the amenities tax was never quoted, I should have asked. We all love to pay those hidden charges.

We truly wanted to love this place since it was our first time staying here, but unfortunately we left very unimpressed and will not be returning. The biggest issue was the lack of communication about major construction happening during our stay. We were never informed ahead of time, despite the construction affecting the main central area used to access many of the amenities. For a property charging resort fees, this felt especially frustrating because the “resort” experience simply was not there. We also had to wait nearly two days just to get an answer regarding a very reasonable request to waive the resort fee considering the circumstances. Every time we followed up, we were told the manager was “in a meeting.” We never once received a proactive phone call or update, it was entirely on us to continue chasing down an answer, which only added to the frustration. At a certain point, it honestly felt like because this hotel is constantly busy and such a revolving door of guests, management doesn’t feel much urgency to improve the experience because people will continue paying to stay there regardless. That’s disappointing, because hospitality and pride in a property should still matter. Between the construction, cleanliness that did not match the high price point, and the overall cold and unwelcoming attitude from most staff members, the experience fell far below expectations. The one bright spot was Emily from the morning restaurant staff. She was genuinely warm, kind, attentive, and honestly one of the only employees who made us feel welcome during our stay. She deserves recognition for her hospitality. Lake Havasu itself is beautiful, but sadly this hotel experience did not reflect the quality or service we were hoping for.
I have been coming here for three years straight, and I can honestly say I’ve never had a problem until this visit. This time around felt very different. For three days straight, the music played was almost entirely country music, which made the atmosphere feel less inclusive and not very culturally diverse. One of the things I’ve always loved about this place was the culture and welcoming environment, but this visit did not reflect that same experience.
Additionally, there was a missing chair on the second floor, which prevented me from being able to sit comfortably with the company I came with. We also experienced an issue with our room where we had no running water in the shower after 12:00 p.m. The only way we could get the shower to run was by turning on the sink faucet at the same time, which was extremely inconvenient during our stay. I did bring these concerns to the staff during my visit, but I honestly felt disregarded as a guest and did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously or addressed appropriately.
Overall, I still love this place and the culture it has always provided, which is why this experience stood out so much to me. I hope future stays return to the more inclusive and welcoming atmosphere I’ve always enjoyed here.

Our room had very old, beat up furniture and it was not very clean. It's also more of a party vibe than a family one, particularly at the pool. We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night thinking that would be a little more chill, which I'm sure it was but the music was still loud and the drunk guests at the pool were too. Of course this was somewhat expected. I think most people know that Lake Havasu is a party city. All in all, our room had a nice view and we spent most of our time out on the water. I do think the rooms were overpriced. We've stayed on the beach in San Diego for about the same price, in much nicer rooms so it's hard to rationalize their cost. They should lower their rates or upgrade their rooms. We'll try staying elsewhere next time we stay in Lake Havasu.
Lastly, the front desk people we encountered were not very friendly and their front desk area is just weird. It's a tiny little room and they wouldn't let anymore check in early at all so that little room was pretty cramped for check in time.

When we booked our stay at The Nautical Beachfront Resort, the property appeared peaceful and family-friendly—exactly what we were hoping for in a spring break vacation with our children. The website highlighted a relaxing atmosphere, along with appealing amenities such as the pool and lake activities.
We were aware that this is a popular spring break destination for college students; however, we intentionally scheduled our visit after local college spring break periods to avoid that type of environment. Unfortunately, the concerns we experienced were not related to college-aged guests but rather appeared to involve older local visitors.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff, and the room size was appropriate for our needs. While the accommodations were generally comfortable, there were a few minor maintenance concerns. A drawer would not remain closed, there was a noticeable gap beneath the door that allowed wind and debris to enter (along with a whistling noise), and the blinds did not fully cover the door, allowing early morning light into the room. These issues were not significant enough to report during our stay but are worth noting.
Our primary concern, however, was the pool area and how it was managed. Based on the resort’s marketing, we expected a family-oriented environment, especially given the advertised lake inflatables and activities. In practice, the atmosphere was not aligned with those expectations. While only registered guests’ children were permitted in the pool area, adults over the age of 21 who were not resort guests were allowed entry.
During our time at the pool, we encountered behavior that was inappropriate for a family setting, including frequent profanity, smoking and vaping, and individuals who appeared to be over-served. At one point, an adult directed profanity toward my 7-year-old daughter after an accidental splash. Additionally, members of the same group became visibly intoxicated, with one individual vomiting and losing consciousness.
We did report the smoking and vaping concerns to on-site security, and the issue was temporarily addressed. However, enforcement was inconsistent, particularly after security staff left in the early afternoon. It appeared that bar staff continued to serve alcohol without regard for guest behavior or safety. We later heard from local individuals that this may be a known issue at the property.
We also experienced inconsistency in policy enforcement. On the following day, our water bottles were confiscated at the pool, as we were informed that solid tumblers were no longer permitted—despite no prior communication of this policy.
Overall, while the accommodations themselves were acceptable, the pool environment and lack of consistent management significantly impacted our experience and did not reflect the family-friendly atmosphere that was advertised.
