We booked directly through IHG and the mobile app, which we thought was supposed to make the overall experience of managing our stay easier. It didn't. The app, or the hotel, not sure which, when modifying our reservation to get a room a day earlier the app blocked us from doing so. It said "we don't have availability", there are literal listings for this place with rooms available not sure how that changes because we're IHG club members using the mobile app. I tried texting the front desk and calling and couldn't get through for hours to anyone. The app didn't help us at all with no one available at this location, we were forced to pay cancellation fees and book somewhere else that could accommodate us, I'm not a fan of paying cancellation fees if I'm trying to adjust my reservation to better fit our plans and you're the one who can't accommodate us through no fault of our own. I don't really think we're going to this hotel or other IHG properties if this is the experience we get. Where we book a reservation directly, and we're locked out of getting help or modifying it in anyway. So not great.
